Sinless Perfection?

Not open for further replies.
We "overcome" all temptation.
How is man "tempted"?

James 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

Are you ever tempted? If you are it is because of your own lust!!!

I guess you are not as perfect as you thought you were!

My rebirthed spirit, which is Christ (God) in me can not sin, but my fleshly body that is "corrupt" can. So does yours no matter what you say!!!

1John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

This is what separates you from every one else on this forum. If you had truth in you, you would know you have sin in the flesh, but you don think you have sin, therefore no truth is in you!!
Everything you believe is based on what you do through the flesh. It is only because of what you did that you say you are saved. Cursed is the man who puts his trust in the arm of the flesh!!! (Jer 17:5)
Yeah I call them as they are...
Trolls, no matter what Christian site because they believe in being perfect and sinless but news flash for them only Jesus as God in the flesh was perfect and sinless to say otherwise is going against God and Jesus.

There are a lot of Christians on this forum that think this guy is a real Christian. We are told to expose those who are not. (Eph 5:11)

Yep and that is the problem "thinking" instead of "knowing", people keep getting so political and wishy washy now a days, too afraid to be "honest" and "tell the truth" to others for fear of hurting "feelings".

On the other hand many people have a different "definition" of being a Christian just like many have a different Christ, it's not surprising many merely "claim" Jesus Christ but they don't "accept him" and his works, and accept him as Lord and Saviour oft times people don't "discern a difference" I should know I have nearly an entire family that "claims" Jesus but haven't "accepted him" putting their faith in vain things and in themselves while going to church to give the impression that they have accepted Jesus.

But as we read in the scriptures that we are to be perfect as God is perfect, why are you saying that we should not or we are in condemnation? Jesus says that there are some things which are impossible for men but indeed possible for God. If God is really in us, why would it be impossible for us to be perfect and sinless?

Was Jesus a liar? Your conclusion to me makes it sound like you are saying that he is.

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Matt 5:48

"And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible." Mark 10:27

"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:" Col 1:27

"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." I John 3:2

If God is really in us, why would it be impossible for us to be perfect and sinless?
Be cause the scriptures do not teach that! Besides our flesh which is where sin resides right now is NOT God. God does NOT dwell in our flesh, but in our spirit!

I didn't mention "condemnation" but what I said is simply "True" for what Jesus said was referring to "walking in spirit" or can one so soon forget his words..."abide in me and I in you" only with Jesus can we be "without sin" but only in "spirit", "perfect" is meaning "do well" not actually that one can entirely be without sin aside from Jesus whom was fully man and fully God.

In fact if anyone wants to get "in depth" about "perfection" and the "differences" in perfection regarding man and perfection regarding Jesus here's an example...
Job was known as "perfect" by God but if indeed he was then his generations would have been "perfect" in the sense of "not sinning" but he wasn't,God meant that he was "faithful" and "obedient"
Another example would be Moses who God spoke to as face to face as one can get without dieing from seeing God's glory yet he was not perfect either and even David a man after God's own heart and Solomon whom chose "wisdom" when asked what God would do for him all fell short in fact if you wanna play the "listen to Jesus" card he said it too "himself"...
"All have fallen short of the glory of God", see even Jesus wouldn't declare that he was "good" or "perfect" until he had made "certain" that this was "undoubtedly true".

I guess I'm finally over my bout with mold since I'm saying things like this, so glad about this!
For the last few months I have been irritable, had head pressure, fluid behind the ears, stopped up,and couldn't quite feel the Holy spirit I think due to the severe "pain" but now I'm gradually feeling like standing up for God/Jesus again more and more.
Also no matter if we disagree at times, everyone I'm glad to be here and "able" to discuss with you all again.

I expect this thread could continue to go round and round in circles.

It would appear @At Peace that you do not believe anyone else here is a true Christian.
It would appear that you are caught up in a legalistic work based type faith that is extremely judgemental of others.
It also seems that in every thread you write on....you disagree and the same pingpong game starts.
Threads loose their whole original purpose.

Other members become caught up and would seem exasperated by this.
And possibly post in a provoked way

So rather than a wholesome discussion, the thread becomes a needless argument.

I am in no position as a sister in the Lord to instruct brothers......so I speak from a moderating standpoint (tagging you in here @Christ4Ever

However, I can source the word of the Lord:

I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Luke 5:32

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
Ephesians 5:2

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Galatians 5:22-26
