Rooted in Scripture, we focus on the foundational truth that God is One, and He dwells bodily in the person of Jesus Christ. This doctrine is central to understanding the nature of God and His interaction with humanity.
Scripturally, we affirm that God has revealed Himself as singular and indivisible. Deuteronomy 6:4 declares, "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord." This statement emphasizes the absolute unity and uniqueness of God. Throughout the Old Testament, God reaffirms His oneness and exclusive deity, challenging any notion of multiplicity or division within His being (Isaiah 45:5; Isaiah 43:10-11).
In the New Testament, this foundational truth is further clarified in the person of Jesus Christ. Colossians 2:9 teaches us that "in him [Christ] dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." Here, the apostle Paul emphasizes that the entirety of God's nature, essence, and deity is fully present in Jesus Christ. This means that Jesus is not merely a part or manifestation of God, but He is God incarnate—the exact representation of His being (Hebrews 1:3).
Moreover, John 1:1-14 affirms that Jesus, the Word (Logos), was with God and was God from the beginning. Verse 14 states, "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." This incarnation of God in Jesus Christ demonstrates God's desire to reveal Himself intimately to humanity while maintaining His singular divine identity.
It is vital to convey that the Oneness of God is not merely a theological concept but a foundational truth that impacts our worship, understanding of salvation, and daily walk with God. Jesus Himself affirmed this truth in John 10:30, stating, "I and my Father are one." This statement reinforces that Jesus and the Father are not separate beings but share a singular divine identity and purpose.
Therefore, our faith rests in the understanding that God, in His infinite wisdom and love, chose to manifest Himself fully in Jesus Christ. Through Christ, we see God's perfect revelation and plan for redemption, inviting us into a personal relationship with Him. Embracing the Oneness of God enriches our worship, deepens our understanding of His Word, and strengthens our commitment to live in accordance with His will. As we teach and preach this truth, let us do so with passion and clarity, guiding others to know and experience the fullness of God revealed in Jesus Christ.
GOD is One, of course, the Word is only One, He is the origin of all things as the UNIQUE Omnipotent, and Omniscient, and Omnipresent GOD, understand? The Word is only One, the Word is from everlasting to everlasting, the Word is the invisible GOD, GOD Himself, self-executing, the original Creator of all things. The ORIGIN of the Universe is of only One, He is first as Creator, GOD Father, the Word, and JESUS as the Word made flesh, testifies saying: Revelation 1:8(combined with Matthews 28:18) 8 ->I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. And John Apostle testified: In the beginning, i.e. in JESUS, was the Word-GOD, GOD is Spirit.
So GOD is Spirit, is invisible, how is the Image of the invisible GOD? How can any know the image of GOD once He is invisible? John the Baptist, the angel of the Lord, said: John 1:18->18 No man hath seen GOD at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared Him. Then JESUS says: I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
I must tell emphatically that no one can know GOD and reach Eternal life without knowing GOD by/through JESUS. So, when you preach saying GOD is Oneness, this is not suficy to know GOD for salvation, there is no salvation in GOD saying merely He is Oneness, GOD has a NAME which He Himself chose for Him Himself-JESUS. And GOD-the Word-the Father-, whose current NAME is JESUS- said: John 14:6->I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. To create man in His image, the Spirit of GOD needed first to be a man in He Himself, this WONDERFUL, Ineffable, EVENT ocurred around two GOD's Days ago, or circa of only 2000 years ago, in the fourth Day, and being as man GOD chose a NAME for He Himself-JESUS.
Who really gives a true testimony of GOD in His infinite magnitude is JESUS. By the way, JESUS said: GOD is Spirit-John 4:24, this assertion of JESUS explains why GOD said: Let us make man in OUR IMAGE, and JESUS said : My Father works hitherto, and I work-John 5:17.
John 17 - JESUS said to the Father:
I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine OWN SELF with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. I have manifested thy NAME-JESUS- unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy Word, they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. All mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
John 1:3- Without JESUS was not any thing made that was made. JESUS made the worlds being with GOD: Hebrews 1:3 says: GOD hath in these last days (last TWO Days or last 2000 years) spoken unto us by His Son, whom GOD hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also GOD made the worlds;
I'm using your own words, as follows:
>>>In the New Testament, this foundational truth is further clarified in the person of Jesus Christ. Colossians 2:9 teaches us that "in him [Christ] dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." Here, the apostle Paul emphasizes that the entirety of God's nature, essence, and deity is fully present in Jesus Christ. This means that Jesus is not merely a part or manifestation of God, but He is God incarnate—the exact representation of His being (Hebrews 1:3).<<<
So JESUS is GOD: Hebrews 1:8 - But unto the Son GOD saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Scripturally, we affirm that God has revealed Himself as singular and indivisible.
Deuteronomy 6:4 declares, "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord." This statement emphasizes the absolute unity and uniqueness of God. Throughout the Old Testament, God reaffirms His oneness and exclusive deity, challenging any notion of multiplicity or division within His being (
Isaiah 45:5;
Isaiah 43:10-11).
But didn't you still understand? When Moses said to the people of Israel: "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord." Deuteronomy 6:4, it was still in the Old Testament, so
when GOD, the I Am, incarnate Himself with the NAME JESUS- New Testament- now with the name of JESUS, GOD introduce Himself by His name-JESUS-, as the GOD of Israel, and also of the Gentiles. GOD the Father and JESUS as GOD the Son, both GOD Father and GOD the Son, are One.
JESUS is the LORD of the lords, the Almighty. JESUS, the I Am, is GOD, but being in the form of GOD, He thought it not robbery (He not usurp) to be equal with GOD.
A merely human theory saying GOD is Oneness it is good for nothing, what matters and prevails is that there is only One Omnipotent, and Omniscient, and Omnipresent GOD, and He introduced Himself before mankind by the NAME of JESUS. Matthew 28:18 combined with John 17.
