I'm sorry jiggyfly, I don't understand your point. I agree with you Jesus is my salvation the Lord of my life in whom I am dependent.
I did read your post jiggyfly and I do understand that we who are in Christ are no longer under the law, because in Christ we are free from the law because in Christ there is no sin. The law tells us what sin is. Let me ask you a question, if you commit adultry does the law apply to you, didn't it say thou shalt not commit adultry? Did Jesus not free you from commiting adultry through faith in Him. In Christ we rise above the letter of the law because we recieve His righteousness and in His righteousness adultry does not exist. Does the law apply to those that steal or those that don't steal. Stealing is not an attribute of God so then it applies to those that don't believe, those that are not in Christ. Jesus saves us from all unrighteousness. Unrighteousness is explained by the law. So the law is for those that don't believe, for righteousness comes by faith.
Our righteousness is disobiedence of the law, the righteousness of Jesus is perfect obedience to law, it's His righteousness that I want.
He shall wright his laws in our mind and hearts, notice that it is His work to write His laws into our mind and heart our work is to say yes Lord and mean it with all of our hearts.
I do fully agree that Jesus paid the penalty for sin for all mankind, but not everone will be saved why is that?
