The time has come among us, But "Fret not" This Bibical text is not addressing unbelievers, this text is talking about a condiction that has come upon "Real Christians"! And that day is here! The Mature, knows that they must chew their meat slowly and thoroughly, but the inmature, they eat in a way, that might cause all kinds of distress. So my brothers and sisters, "slay and eat"!

New International Version
For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

New Living Translation
For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.

To those who are "Faithful to The Truth of God". "No Compromise" but hold on, and do not let go! For the winds will begin to blow, but steady the course, for there is a "crown" instored for you! And let no man, take that crown! Let The Ones Who has the ears to hear, and "you" take heed, to the words, that I have said. And you Rejoice as you observe, the things, that you see.

1 corinthians 7:14 KJV For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband else were your chlden unclean; but now they are holy.
Many people walk into a church, get married and a couple of weeks later they divorce, others, like my parents stay together unmarried for a lifetime and bring up their children. Which of the two couples are married?

Sorry Trevor,

The first couple were married by law, but they were married in God's sight too.

Many want a church wedding, much fewer than in the past as we know, but of those that do, a percentage only want a nice building for the photographs, or they think they are Christians. A little like when they have the kids Christened then they never see a church building again unless there is a birth, wedding or funeral.

Their heart isn't right from the start, many are not born again.

As the the second couple, they had sex before marriage, so they lived in sin. Even if they came to Christ at a later date, repented of all their sins, if they didn't get married and become one body, through marriage, sadly they were sinners.

Now you may see things differently, but from scripture I don't my friend, it was not easy saying this to a brother in Christ, but we must also be careful not to mislead readers of the thread.

Which of the following are married in God's eyes?

- a couple, man and woman, married in a church.
- a couple, man and woman, married in a registry office.
- a couple, not married, remain together all their life.
- a couple, man with man, married.
- a couple, woman with woman, married.

Divorce is another issue, Moses allowed it, but Jesus made clear it wasn't like that from the beginning. The devil loves to break relationships, friendships, marriages. Divorce today is a clear sign of the end time, the amount it has increased over the last 50-60 years is phenomenal, but what people do not realise is, to go with another person after leaving the one they were married to is, being an adulterer, or an adulteress.

Shalom

Well Paul, my experience with Helen belies what you say. I lived as married with Helen for fourteen years before we finally married in the eyes of the law, the law I might say that many on Talk Jesus tell us we are no longer under. and in that time we were blessed with four wonderful children three of which are born again and one who is born again but unsure of where he stands. Our lives are mightily blessed. Are you telling me I am decieved?

Hi Trevor

My neighbours are nice people, very polite, charitable, lived a good life, they think they are blessed, but they do not know the Lord.

I would never say you are deceived brother, but I do have to follow The Word.

How can we say sex before or outside marriage is sin according to God's Word, then look at it another way and say it is acceptable?

The question I asked Paul, was, are you a sinner?

Are you not a sinner Paul?

Hello Trevor

I am not a sinner, you are not a sinner. A sinner is a person who is not born again, they sin, they are not bothered, they joke about it, they sin more.

A born again believer is not a sinner, though they commit sin, a born again believer, as scripture states, 'practices righteousness'. Yes we will sin, we repent, we will sin again, but as we practice righteousness, we sin less and less.

Bless you

A born again believer is not a sinner, though they commit sin,
That Paul, is a contradiction in terms. 1 John 1:8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. So here we have you a sinner, and we have me a sinner. you are allowed to disparage me because of my sin, but your sin appears to be acceptable. Do you find that fair? How did Jesus handle the same situation; "Let he who has no sin cast the first stone" He then said to the adulterers "Go, sin no more". We are both sinners Paul, and for one sinner to cast his eyes on another sinners sin is to invite the eyes of God on to theirs.

Helen has just made an important point Paul, and that is, we are called to obey the law of the land, and the law of the land recognises common law marriage. I'm sure you'll find a problem with that, but it is scriptural. Romans 13:1-2.

You having fun yet? May I try to bridge a gap. "I am a "sinner" save by grace. And sometimes this "sinner save by grace" sins. A sinner, and sins are two different things. And a "sinner save by grace" is different from one who is not save by grace. And a "sinner that is saved by grace is called "a saint" according to the Bible. Are we in agreement, sounds like to me "the restorer of The Breach". So let us all walk, like "The Saints of God"!

Trevor I am not finding fault.

Please reread the verse you quoted...

John 1:8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

If we claim to be without SIN...

Unsaved are sinners

Now I appreciate there are verses that that point to saved souls being sinners, but there are many that refer to believers to practice righteousness.

What I said Trevor was as saved believers we are not sinnerS. But we do SIN, but the more we practice righteousness the less we SIN.

The verse above refers to SIN.

The latter part of your comments is due to misunderstanding the first part, I apologise if I didn't put it over clearly. That is a problem with text messaging, it wouldn't happen in face to face discussions.

Bless you

Allow me brother to record slightly as I believe scripture tells us...

May I try to bridge a gap. "I am a "SINNER" save by grace. [Before being saved]

And sometimes this "sinner save by grace" Will SIN

But you are forgiven, you probably will SIN again. That is not a sinner, it is someone one practicing righteousness, that makes the odd mistake, is tempted and commits A SIN.

If We claim to be without sin. Jesus was talking to believers Paul and that includes you and I. I have a sinful nature, don't you? You say we are not sinners but we do sin. That does not make sense. Anyway I can see that I will not, even with scripture convince you so, good luck.

It is a debatable topic Trevor, there are scriptures that can argue both ways, therefore I would never argue this point, we think as we do, it does not affect our salvation and our aim is, practice righteousness and avoid the temptation to sin.

Bless you both
