unequally yoked -- Prayer request

Brother-Paul. I believe that I’m indwelt by the Holy Spirit. I chose the path of grace a long time ago, not just now. I served God, happened to be a volunteer in my church, did intensive bible studies, loved God with all my heart and soul, even earned a degree in theology. I grew up memorizing and speaking the word of God, but I walked from the faith and I often come back. At some point in my life, I started to twist the bible, even used the Greek, and I trained my ex how to answer for our gay marriage back then, and later I became well versed in the Bible just to justify my sin.

I was in so much pain and I thought I “earned” it, but it got worse and worse, but I’m different today. I feel tempted sometimes, but I do not desire to sin. Sometimes I look at pictures of my ex and I still say that I love her so much, but it is different love. I do not lust after her or anyone else. My desires changed in the heart, and I want to serve God, and to be on the path of grace forevermore.

1 John 3:9: Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

Please do not forget to pray for us. I want to do the right thing, but I just need the prayers and and some kind words of encouragement. That's all.

Many thanks for your detailed and heart felt reply, it is wonderful how the Holy Spirit can change us, he certainly does sister.

Trust in the Lord always Kitty, and lean not on your own understanding, he sure will guide your paths, bumpy at times but out Lord will be there walking with you, carrying you when you can't walk, guiding you in the dark times and leading you to eternal light.

Prayers are assured Kitty, for you, for your man, for your baby, for salvation for your man

You Kitty are the spiritual head of the family, as your man is not, until he actually repents and submits to Jesus, then he is the spiritual head. So until then you stand in faith in Jesus Name, you claim your boyfriends salvation and wait on the Lord, Rejoicing and giving thanks, that one day, God's speed he will be saved. Pray protection for each of you through the blood of Christ and put on the whole armour of God, Eph 6:

One other item that the Lord lays on my heart Kitty, you must pray for guidance, although scripture warns us not to marry an unsaved soul, you may, if it is His will, choose to do so before he has accepted Jesus, but only do do if the Holy Spirit guides you, and also remember there will be a spiritual battle, you will need the blood of Christ and the armour of God daily, you will need to be as wise has a serpent and harmless as a dove, you will need to do everything in love and not argue, the devil loves to make people argue. No one can guide you on this sister, the Holy Spirit will be the yes or no, and it will be clear, one or the other. I say this because I felt a little from your message to PB in the same post, that your boyfriend wants to support you and the child, he wants to be with you.

Lay everything before the Lord, lay them at His feet, lay them before the alter, give them to Him and walk away, leave them with Him, He cannot deal with any prayer unless you give it Him AND 'let go of it'.

A wife is bound by law as long as her husband lives; but if her husband dies, she is at liberty to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord.

The question comes back to, when does God see a man and woman as being married, you may like to follow the discussion on the new thread about this, 3 options are noted for discussion, all have positives, all have negatives.

Father we pray for our much loved sister Kitty, Bless her, Guide her and Protect her through your precious blood Lord, her, her man and their baby, keep them safe from the evil one Lord and let your light shine from her in love, not as the world loves Lord, but according to your love, agape love, hesed love, bind them together and send your Holy Spirit to make clear your will in their lives, we ask it in your Most Precious and Most Holy Name, In Jesus Name. Amen

Our prayers Kitty are not for a post or a day, so please do keep us informed so that we may Rejoice and Give thanks with you, and that we may take some of your pain when you are hurting, but in all things, Faith, Hope and Love, and the greatest of these is Agape Love.
