Oh for Gods sake, please show a little intelligence, i feel no "guilt" forhaving a "queer" son, and my so called " belief" as you put it is born of observation, from a very early age there were strong indications that my son was different, it wasnt upbringing, he had the same as the other two, it wasnt schooling, he went to the same schools, it was something inherent in him that grew as he did, and its not a "choice", i dont choose to be hetrosexual, it was there from the start, my son didnt choose to be transgender, it was there from the start, inherent in his genetic makeup, you really do need to get past your prejudice and intolerance and understand things as they are, not like you'd want them to be.

Myself and God will NOT live next to any 'adult' that approves of LGBTQ+. We can love them for sure, but not approve of that lifestyle.

In the case of @Rad, his children if under 20 will go to heaven to be tested another day....but said individual who approves of their children going this way....I am 100% certain that a poll here or on any other respected Christian site would show that no Christian wants someone like that as a neighbor in heaven. Unless of course they repent and come to the light.

As the discussion resumes, I'll add some more thoughts since I posted and created the video in the original post.

I'm hearing some debate about whether we can be born gay or not. Surprisingly, despite the title,
of the video, if you watch it, that is not the ultimate focus of the video.

While the video explores various positions such in a scholarly exercise to inform the viewer of the various positions
on the topic. The video does not place a flag in the debate of being born gay or not born gay.

Rather the video acknowledges that some believe that they are born this way and ask them if they
desire a change. Thus the focus is not on what you think you are, but what do you want to be. Focusing
on the fact that God has the power to transform and renew us.

We can all agree the homosexuality is a sin. I'm sure 95% of us will agree. And
we can also agree that heterosexual fornication is a sin. Similar to how those with
issues of lust who feel the urge to fornicate and fulfill those desires, some with same sex
attractions likewise feel the urge to fulfill their desires. Both are sinful whether it is the perversion
of homosexuality or the sinfulness of sex outside of marriage. Both are wrong.

Thus an appeal to one's sin, who is heterosexual fornicator, by stating, I was born with these lustful
desires, is totally irrelevant. Similar to a homosexual person saying I was born this way. We are
all born with a sin nature (while we do have free will to cry out to Jesus) so we are all born sinners.
Thus the simple point of the video is not to debate whether or not people are born gay but simply
stating that Jesus saves and can transform your life if you desire and call out in repentance.

There are those who'd say that since they were born homosexual that God understands their need for having those feelings satisfied. Therefore they don't feel the need To change those desires.

But biblically we know that God created us male and female to be able to have family. The sexually intimate relationship is to be special for marriage. Which also means that non- married people are to refrain from a sexual relationship. And marriage is to be between one man and one woman. The question has been posed is can a person change from being homosexual to hetero sexual. There Are people who Have changed. But they have reverted back . There is an organization thst helps them change but I can't remember the name of it.
And it's the desire to make homosexuality a life style in spite of. The Gay Pride people. It's an abomination to God. Putrid in His eyes.

Yes, " a little intelligence", do i possess that?. I think i do, i understand that Homosexuality has existed throughout Human Existence, long before "media influences", and that many that have been born Male and Female have sexual desires for their own sex, do you understand that?. As for "failing as a parent", yes i do think i've failed, the same as i've failed at everything else in my life, or are you so righteous you can point to a "success" in your life, Jesus spoke of "hating our lives and the lives of those around us", and given our collective propensity to sin, that isnt hard to understand why he should say that, even for you. You speak of "Moral decay, a sign of the times", this assumes you believe there was a time of morality in human behaviour, i'd love to know when you think that was, because alls i see is a litany of sin, of greed, of selfishness, of envy, lust and hate. I really do think you need to apply that intelligence you think you have to looking at things as they actually are, not as you'd want them to be.

You, your son, simply need to spend time speaking to God and getting to know Him. When we love God, we desire to do those things that please Him. Honoring Him with our bodies is one of those things.

Jesus spoke of "hating our lives and the lives of those around us", and given our collective propensity to sin, that isnt hard to understand why he should say that, even for you.

You speak of "Moral decay, a sign of the times", this assumes you believe there was a time of morality in human behaviour, i'd love to know when you think that was, because alls i see is a litany of sin, of greed, of selfishness, of envy, lust and hate. I really do think you need to apply that intelligence you think you have to looking at things as they actually are, not as you'd want them to be.

However knowing that parents clearly pass down various traits and behaviors and inclinations to their children, for example I don't know if you work
in mental health, but it is very clear to see if you chart family histories to see how alcoholism follows families, whether it is a spiritual bondage,
genetic issue, or both.

Working in Social Services, I know that Babies can be born addicted to drugs because the mother used while pregnant. Are you aware of that?
So the child gets born with various issues, whether issues of intense anger, or other issues due to parent's behaviors.

I think Christians think that if they were to admit that anything that is unlike God can be at birth than somehow God is at fault. However
remember what Jesus said when they asked Him who sinned that this man was born blind and He told them that it was so God could be
glorified. It is complicated.

I think it is obvious so see if you study any science or basic mental health the connection between parents and their children and I also think
spiritually there are generation curses as well. However the fact that it is obvious that people are born with all types of issues does not mean
that God is to blame.

Most men are born with issues of lust. By default most men have an inclination to cheat, it is something that has to be resisted.
So don't feel threatened by the fact that people may be born with any kind of sin nature, the Bible already tells us that we are.
The whole point of the video and I'm not sure if you watched it in its fullness is that the question about being born gay
is not even the question to ask. That is the whole point of the video. It entertains the possibility why someone could possibly
see themselves that way, but does not go down that road to the end, instead it stops and places the focus on Christ.

Amen, all things are possible through God.


While not every believers in the doctrine of Total Depravity, most will agree
that mankind is messed up. Even people who will say that mankind is good
at the core and just need a little loving, are the same ones who will have
cameras in their home and own a gun for protection because deep down in
their hearts they know that people are evil and many will do bad things
if they think they can get away with it or if no one is looking.

On the gay topic, I will say as a professional that 90% of all the clients
that I've worked with who have identified as gay have some type of trauma
such as being molested as a child, or growing up without a male in the home,
or being abused in a way which turned them off to the opposite sex.

So the data supports that this issue (as we know if very spiritual) also has
a strong social/environment component meaning people weren't born that way,
but ended up pursuing that lifestyle after those events (abuse, trauma, etc) happened.

Also another thing that people confused is feminine males and homosexual males.
A man can be feminine but that doesn't mean he has to be attracted to other males.
The role of society is to shape boys to be men and girls to be women, but we live
in a society where they want to have gender neutral toys and everyone using
the same bathrooms, and changing pronouns, and when you have abuse
on top of that, no wonder we have so many people confused with gender identity issues.

With all that said, I agree with you OP, Jesus can change anyone.
