What if you die tonight?

Well Abraham had another idea:idea: A young wife Name "Keturah"and had some more babies.
According to one view, Abraham remarried after the death of Sarah and had a total of three wives: Sarah, Hagar, and Keturah. :eyes:

Six Children
Gen. 26 lists the six children that Keturah bore to Abraham: Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah, to which the midrash applies the verse (Ps.

But Some have said she was "Hagar" who had "Ishmael" then She must have had been a very very young Girl when she had "ISMAEL" and then all those years later she had "6 more kids":eyes: I believe God gave him another "young Chick" to Crank up His motor! fired that old Boy up! that is most likely what killed Him! Dying in Full of Age. They will kill you! You can married one of Those Young women if You want to, You will have a Heart Attack or a Stroke":eyes:

Note: Abraham died 175 years old
Note: Sarah died 127 years old
Interesting times.

PloughBoy, Just small talk. PS, Stay Away From Those Young Girls.:eyes: They will make you have a Heart Attack and A Stroke at The Same Time! and cause you to walk with a limp! She will make you Call on "JESUS" :eyes:
You took issue with my continued study and played the arrogant card because you, unlike me had read the scriptures and knew them. Sue opened the wound but I'll just pour salt to stop the bleeding. I, like Sue, knew the mother was a concubine named Hagar, Sarah's Slave. Did that seal the wound? That is a rhetorical question, requiring no answer.

Hagar was given to Abraham by Sarah his wife to act as a substitute 'wife' / concubine to bear children for him. Abraham did not have two wives at the same time.
She was more than an Substitute:p :sob: That is why she was around there smiling. She put a Smile on Abraham face and Bounce in his Walk. oh yes, she did! He might of went back for seconds ,third or 4 5 times and them days they had "mandrakes" For Leah got her a Bucket full for Jacob. In Those days they had Mandrakes. I know, but we must not forget that "Abraham" was sinner too!:eyes: Sarah got mad! He might stay over in That tent too long. Old as he was, he might Have fell asleep. And came home In the Morning! They were making Babies big Time in Overdrive! :sob:

One night I came home real late, my wife was sitting up in the dark waiting on me!:sob: and she was not smiling.

For one thing-- Hagar was Sarah's handmaid not Abraham's wife. It was customary in those days that if a wife could not bear children that she could have her maidservent go into her husband to have children for her.

She did that in spite of God's promise to her and Abraham that they would have a baby of their own. She didn't believe that she would in fact have a baby at her age. So Ishmael was born through Hagar and Isaac was the son that God promised them.then..

And at some point after Sarah's death Abraham did remarry Keturah and they had six children together. There is no mention of her age. And you're sounding very crude so I won't continue with this post.
ok

Now the Bible [The LORD] the Word of GOD, Recorded Like this:

KeTurah had 6 children.by Abraham who is his wife And The Book name them. "Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian Ishbak, Shuah"
Hagar had 1 child by Abraham..who was is his wife.............................................."Ishmael"
Sarah had 1 child by Abraham...who was is his wife............................................."Isaac"

1. Genesis 16:1 ASV
New American Standard Bible
Now Sarai, Abram’s wife 1, had not borne him a child, but she had an Egyptian slave woman whose name was Hagar. [ISAAC]

2. Genesis 16:1 ASV
New American Standard Bible
And so after Abram had lived ten years in the land of Canaan, Abram’s wife Sarai took Hagar the Egyptian, her slave woman, and gave her to her husband Abram as his wife 2. ISHMAEL Note: She might have been Sarah Slave, BUT she IS MY WIFE!!:eyes: [and the only you put her out! GOD told me not to worry, He would take care her and make Our son, A GREAT NATION! :eyes: And he gave Noah a "RAINBOW SIGN"!

3. Abraham and Keturah Genesis 25:1
"Now Abraham had taken another wife 3, named Keturah, and she bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah.…

Total according to
The "66 Canon of Holy Scripture"

PloughBoy, my case rest.

@PloughBoy-- if you'll look at the passage , you'll find that Hagar'attitude towards Sarah was that of contempt. Read vs 4-6 of chapter 16. Sarah wasnt mad because she thought Abraham was having too much fun with her maid. She was mad at Hagar because she'd been able to conceive. Those verses sound like after the deed was done both women dispised each other.

Abraham told Sarah to do anything she wanted to do with Hagar after all she was her maid.

Dear Brother,
I may not be as old as you "Old Brothers" are, but age is irrelevant to knowing that this is not our home, and the desire to be with our Lord and Savior trumps all our life experiences.
You may have also been even closer to death at other times, then you realize, but for the Grace of God, whose purpose for you was "not yet". So, it is now, for you, Bob, me, and many others, irrespective of age. It just becomes harder, because as you've said, we've lost, and continue to see loved ones go before us. Also, this body doesn't do what it used to be able to do, our mind gets a little foggy, and isn't as clear as it used to be. Still, though I'd rather be with our Lord now, I most assuredly believe it will be on His appointed time when our work is done, that He will call us home! Can't wait until we who have been but words across a screen get to Gloryland and rejoice together!

With the Love of Christ Jesus.

Yeah, good thoughts, but the more I read the words of Yashua the more it sticks to me that the God Man was and is serious about forsaking everything, even our moms, children, and wives, and to love Him with the longing to be with Him, right now. We must not sin and commit suicide because we live for Him, imitating Him, until He cancels our ticket to go and carries us home/

Oh, you do not think that young girl did not have "Abraham in that tent Moaning and howling and Abraham asking GOD to help him! Believe me when they got going, a baby was the last thing on their minds, And Sarah knew it, she heard Abraham in there crying and moaning, Hagar made that old man call on GOD!:worried:

You see you do not want to hear the TRUTH! Babies was the last thing on Abraham mind once she got started!:eyes: I would not have went in there!

Make sure, before you open, a can of worms, you might not, want to go there!. Abraham was a sinner too!:eyes: You mean he did not trust GOD? For Sarah to have a baby. Abraham LOVED Hagar , ABRAHAM Loved Ishmael, And you think That ABRAHAM wanted To Cast His wife And The Child he Loved into The dry DESERT to die a horrible death to please "SARAH"S"Jealousy rage.

I will say, Love does not cast a women and her child into the Barren Desert. But I know you cannot see the moral of The story, for many can't, Throughout the years, I have notice this among christians to get pleasure in such stories and not seeing the motive and The genre of The Story, that has to be hidden among many.:) like a slave is no more than the dirt under their feet and they have no feelings for a person or child of a slave. But ABRAHAM made sure that His son got The INHEIRTENCE once SARAH was DEAD! "ISHMAEL" got his Shared of The inheritance.:) and A GREAT Nation and that Nation also is Bless of ABRAHAM and HAGAR!
SARAH said: "the son of this SLAVE WOMAN will not Inherit along with my son Isaac"
it was his right "Ishmael" and she did not even want the boys rightful share> But GOD.:pensive:

They didn't do any thing, this is "SARAH" Mess! from her own hands and thoughts!
And should not be treated kindly, not By a Child of the LIVING GOD' But let christianity and all The whole world treated it as they well please, it does not matter what they think.

I did not go against the Bible but you have even added words like "substitute wife" that is not in there. "The Original Copied Manuscript" your input is not in the book, but maybe you have a special book other than The "Manuscript" or The "RSV", NASB. NKJV, or Pre 1984 NIV, ASV, . and neither copies specify concubine, you can check those verses in "Vines" and in "The Englishmen Hebrew Concordance" to be sure if you like, to be accurate in those texts of The text that is in question. just pull them out of Your library. :eyes: and look. simple as 1 2 3,

You're trying to turn that passage I to an x-rated movie. That's sickening. A baby was the only thing on his mind.

No more comments from me.

16:3...Abram's wife Sarai took Hagar the Egyptian, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife.

I am a man of unclean lips [thoughts] I am guilty of reading with partiality

Help me Holy Spirit! I must repent and be made clean :sob: clean my eyes ears and heart

Oh God thank you for your mercy and loving kindness

Right! Please, Sarah was a sinner too! And what do sinners do? They Sin and lie, and she was a Liar too! like The rest! I do know how to read and Interpretive reading at its best. and she would have laid down with that king in Egypt even after GOD told them he was going to help, protect them and bless them and keep them. " tell him you are my sister" The King: "why did not your tell me she was your sister, I might have Laid Down with her, then God was going to get me! "Get out my house, bunch of liars! get out out!!!!!

That Egyptian, Got Abraham and
Sarah out of his House, "Bunch of Liars" Get out!:sob:

I can read and between the lines. :eyes:

Good News Translation
Why did you say that she was your sister, and let me take her as my wife? Here is your wife; TAKE HER AND GET OUT!":sob:
AND Take everything you got and do not leave anything belongs to you here! Bye!!!:sob:

Evidently you know nothing about a "ALPHA" man!

"A baby was the only thing on his mind.' :sob: who needs a movie when you have "The LIVING WORD"

I think it is so strange that I thought That "the Songs of Solomon" should not have been recorded because of its Vulgarness or place in "The 66 Canon of Scriptures" which was made know here on TalkJesus how I felt about it,. Then I came to a conclusion why God ordain it to be there. :pensive:
and here we are talking about reality and how we understand why GOD put the motivation into "Replenishing the earth".

As if the Gift of God concerning reproduction is a crime, which is pleasure, That is supposed to be available for only Married Couples only, and not for Remarried Couples of divorce. And it is a serious crime for a person to experience such, which will cause a type of death when experienced by unmarried couples and the act is cursed of God, for someone to engage. " A Man Cannot make a Child unless that man experience a certain kind of Pleasure.:pensive: and now are we saying it is a Taboo to say so. But openly express in all kinds of ways of life style and dress and advertise such practices of "sexual immorality" if so how far we have we fallen.:pensive: And fornicators parade as if They Are "GLORIFYING The GLORY of GOD and He Smiles upon them with such great JOY!

Greetings,

I would like you to answer a brief poll, made only for you...

when you read the following quote from yourself and then the further quotes by yourself addressed to the same Member in the same thread in the same few posts....

There were some members of a group called Pharisee who did similar sorts of double rules while casting their righteous stones at others.

There are other places where you have done this sort of thing.

This is public as you like to do your thing in public and it appears that a little praise for PloughBoy is always somewhere in the tact, not caring if it is at the expense of defenseless widows, even.

A reply Ban is being placed upon you.

Please think very hard before writing any other posts or threads.

Bless you ....><>

Subject heading:- What if you die tonight?

Hello @Fragrant Grace,

Thank you for asking the question. :)

* What comes to my mind is (Rom 14:10-12):-

'But why dost thou judge thy brother?
or why dost thou set at nought thy brother?
for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
For it is written,
As I live, saith the Lord,
.. every knee shall bow to me, and
.... every tongue shall confess to God. So then
...... every one of us shall give account of himself to God.'

' ... ... behold, now is the day of salvation.' (2 Cor. 6:2)

In Christ Jesus
Chris

'Seek ye the LORD while He may be found,
call ye upon Him while He is near:
Let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts:
and let him return unto the LORD,
and He will have mercy upon him;
and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are My ways higher than your ways,
and My thoughts than your thoughts. '
(Isa 55:6-9)

Praise God!
