...policies?

A leading conservative activist says President Obama has already signaled, during his first days in office, that his administration will be the most "extreme, left-wing, and discriminatory" in American history.

President Obama's plans to cater to the priorities of homosexual activists are laid out under a section called "Civil Rights" on the website WhiteHouse.gov

What leading conservative activist?

Okay, Civil Rights at whitehouse.gov. Let's look at what's in this section:

Expand Hate Crimes Statutes

Even if you don't think that people should be gay, surely you don't think they deserve to be killed for it?

Fight Workplace Discrimination

All this is doing is expanding the Workplace Discrimination laws we already have in place. You know, the ones that say you can't be discriminated against for your race, religion or gender. Gay people have to eat too, you know.

Support Full Civil Unions and Federal Rights for LGBT Couples

It's not marriage. But I've never understood why that was such a bad thing anyway. The Bible talks about not having sex outside of marriage. Some people were raised Christian but are gay. So naturally, some of these people would want to be able to get married so as not to break this rule.

Oppose a Constitutional Ban on Same-Sex Marriage

Are you against states' rights, or something?

Repeal Don't Ask-Don't Tell

Did you read the rest of this to see how they fired 300 language experts, including 50 who were fluent in Arabic, because they were gay?

Expand Adoption Rights

Isn't it better for kids to be raised by loving parents than by the state?

Promote AIDS Prevention

Well that seems pretty self-explanatory to me. I don't see how any sincere Christian could be against preventing AIDS.

And I don't see how any of this is anti-Christian in the least bit. Does any of it prohibit your ability to worship as you choose?

I have heard, too, that there will be in place a law that will give same sex partners (I don't call it marriage!) the benefits of heterosexual married couples.

Homosexuality is a sin. Leviticus 18:22
"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."

This all has to do with big government...government getting involved where they shouldn't be.

War on Christian values has begun

The Obama administration has wasted no time in declaring war on evangelical Christians. Within minutes after the new president took his oath of office, his staff posted his agendas concerning homosexuality and abortion on the White House website.

Sexual perversion
With regard to sexual perversion, the president's policy goals are spelled out as follows:

1) Defeat all state and federal constitutional efforts to defend the definition of biblical marriage as being a union between one man and one woman.

2) Repeal the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) signed by Bill Clinton. (This is currently the only line of defense keeping all 50 states from being forced to recognize so-called "same-sex marriages" from extremely liberal states like Massachusetts and Connecticut.)

3) Repeal the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.

4) Pass "hate crimes" legislation granting homosexuals and cross-dressers special rights denied to other Americans. (This legislation, depending on how it is drafted, could even attempt to muzzle any criticism of homosexuality as being unbiblical and unnatural perversion.)

5) Pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) which would force business owners (religious and otherwise) to abandon traditional values relative to sexual morality under penalty of law.

6) Create intentionally motherless and fatherless homes by expanding "gay adoption."

To see for yourself this portion of Obama's agenda, click here and scroll down the page to "Support for the LGBT Community." (LGBT is an acronym for "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered.")

Abortion
With regard to abortion, the president's agenda is:

1) Opposition to any constitutional amendment to overturn the Supreme Court's abortion decision in Roe v. Wade.

2) Support of the Prevention First Act which would provide access to contraception and "preventive services to help reduce unintended pregnancies" (a euphemism for abortion).

To see for yourself this portion of Obama's agenda, click here.

Although it is not mentioned on the White House website, President Obama has made it clear that he will support the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA). In fact, he promised Planned Parenthood that signing the FOCA would be "the first thing I'd do as President." FOCA is by far the most radical piece of abortion legislation ever introduced into the Congress.

According to pro-choice advocates, FOCA would:

1) Overturn the ban on the barbaric procedure called "partial-birth abortion."

2) Invalidate scores of pro-life laws passed by dozens of states.

3) Eliminate existing laws against taxpayer-funded abortions.

Obama betrays Christian voters

You've probably heard that President-elect Obama has invited openly homosexual Episcopal Bishop V. Gene Robinson to deliver the invocation at an inaugural event on Sunday.

It's a shame that our next president apparently has so little regard for his Christian constituents that he would give such a high place of honor to a self-styled man of God whose only claim to fame is that he abandoned his wife and children to enter, "loudly and proudly," a sexually deviant lifestyle expressly condemned by the very Bible he's ironically called "holy and sacred."

None of us are without sin; and certainly none are less valuable in God's eyes than any other. But Christ did command us to repent of our sins and to "go and sin no more." Not only has Robinson refused to repent of his homosexual behavior -- which is unequivocally condemned throughout both the Old and New Testaments as sexual sin -- he has further rebelled against God by leading astray countless of his flock who suffer from similar temptation.

A fancy white robe and tall priestly hat does not a man of God make. Robinson may or may not be a believer as he claims; only he and God know that for sure. But what we do know is this: based upon his frequent association with homosexual anti-Christian hate groups like the Human Rights Campaign and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, and in light of his ongoing counter-Christian sexual crusade, Gene Robinson is little more than a radical homosexual activist in a clergyman's clothing. In fact, his heretical rebellion against God's express natural order, coupled with his selfish refusal to surrender his pulpit, has almost single handedly devastated the U.S. Episcopal Church.

Robinson has indicated he will not use the Bible at the event, saying, "While that is a holy and sacred text to me, it is not for many Americans. I will be careful not to be especially Christian in my prayer."

Unfortunately, Robinson is not especially Christian in much of what he does. After that comment, I wonder if he heard a rooster crow.

While addressing his aberrant sexual appetite for men, Robinson said, "I believe in my heart that the church got it wrong about homosexuality."

That's why Christ admonishes us to place His word above that which we feel in our hearts. As Scripture warns: "The heart is deceitful above all things."

As Gene Robinson prays for Barack Obama on Sunday, I would encourage all Bible believing Christians to pray for Gene Robinson. Pray for the wife and children he left for a lie. Pray that he will repent, "go and sin no more," bringing others with him to the salvation only Christ can offer. A salvation we all -- our nation and our world -- so desperately need.

All anyone has to do is open their eyes to see that everything that Obama has done so far is anti-Christian, and we are blind if we can not recognize that it will never get any better>

Not sure why you're quoting me, but I'll respond.

"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."

I assume you don't eat shellfish.

This all has to do with big government...government getting involved where they shouldn't be.

If a group of people is being denied rights, or is being killed, then it should be part of the government's job to redress that.

JWayne,

Sad isnt it.....God though, is not surprised by these things, he warned us ahead of time, it would be this way.

Evil being called good, and good evil.

When I get weary of these attitudes, I remember what Gods word says......

He looks at the derision of man, and laughs. Psalms 2:4

The heart of man has become reprobate, so is it any wonder.

Every man does what is right ,In his own eyes, and has no desire to walk in the precepts of God, almighty.
Any nation that turn to this level of unrighteousness will not stand.
Just as the Roman empire so many years ago.
Is America next?
Accept we repent , and humble ourselves, and pray, I think yes.

I eat shell fish, but I still think homosexuality is a choice that does not deserv the status
of being exalted to a civil rights struggle.
I understand that homosexuals have rights, and they should, but God created them male and female for a purpose. Look around you see His creation, His laws are clearly there for every eye to see.
If anyone would like to visit tribes of indians in the indies or south american jungles you will see that although these people are "not civilized like us",yet you will not find a single trace of homosexuality within their camp, this proves the point Paul makes that, the law of God is written in our hearts, either accusing us or excusing us.
It is only in civilized countries that you will find pedaphiles and homosexual not only commiting lewd acts but parading on the streets encouraging others to riot with them in the day time.

I dont want to get personal, but please trust me when I speak on this subject.
Im not here to bare all, but I will tell all the readers, homosexuality is a deprived and destructive sin among others.

I must agree whole heartedly, with all that you have said. It is most sad but as Christians we need not worry over things that we cannot change.

He looks at the derision of man, and laughs. Psalms 2:4
Amazing at how much we give Him to laugh at!

What does eating shellfish have to do with any of this?

I'm glad you asked. Giggles4God cited Leviticus to say homosexuality is a sin. According to Leviticus 11:10-12, shellfish is an abomination also. So I would expect someone using Leviticus as the basis of their argument to abstain from shellfish.

Sexual perversion
With regard to sexual perversion, the president's policy goals are spelled out as follows:

1) Defeat all state and federal constitutional efforts to defend the definition of biblical marriage as being a union between one man and one woman.

Why should the government have anything to do with biblical marriage? Aren't there some people who just get married in the courthouse? Not all marriages are biblical, and not all people are Christian. Not even in this country.

It becomes a problem when your spouse is hospitalized in a state that doesn't recognize your marriage as valid.

What was so great about that policy, again?

4) Pass "hate crimes" legislation granting homosexuals and cross-dressers special rights denied to other Americans. (This legislation, depending on how it is drafted, could even attempt to muzzle any criticism of homosexuality as being unbiblical and unnatural perversion.)

What "special rights"? A lot of people who are gay are targets for violence. I think this is a bad thing. It's certainly not something I would expect Jesus to support. Yet, it's "special rights" to try to discourage that. I don't personally know a lot of people who get beaten up or killed for being straight.

5) Pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) which would force business owners (religious and otherwise) to abandon traditional values relative to sexual morality under penalty of law.

6) Create intentionally motherless and fatherless homes by expanding "gay adoption."

But they already have to follow this, on account of race and religion. And being gay isn't so different from discriminating against someone's religious views, because their views are different than the person doing the hiring. The point is that gay people still need to be able to find employment, and we should discourage treating people badly just because some people don't like them very much.

And, I would rather see kids adopted into loving households than to be without parents at all.

In fact, he promised Planned Parenthood that signing the FOCA would be "the first thing I'd do as President." FOCA is by far the most radical piece of abortion legislation ever introduced into the Congress.

Abortions are going to keep happening whether or not they are legal in this country. Women will get their boyfriends to punch them in the stomach. There was a case a few years ago of a girl who was pregnant, kept it a secret, gave birth, and threw the baby in a dumpster. Women who have more money than that, will just fly to Canada where it will most likely remain legal. How is anybody going to stop them? I don't want to live in a government that would rigorously investigate each and every woman's story before she was allowed to fly somewhere else. I would rather not live in a police state. And "preventive services to help reduce unintended pregnancies" is not a euphemism for abortion. "Preventive services" also includes things like access to contraception, since contraception is intended to prevent pregnancy in the first place.

According to pro-choice advocates, FOCA would:

1) Overturn the ban on the barbaric procedure called "partial-birth abortion."

2) Invalidate scores of pro-life laws passed by dozens of states.

3) Eliminate existing laws against taxpayer-funded abortions.

Let's look at some facts about abortion here. In 2003, 6.2% of abortions performed were at 13-15 weeks; 4.2% from 15-20 weeks; and only 1.4% past 21 weeks. This last group would be the ones using the intact dilation and extraction method. So obviously these do not account for the majority of abortions. There are also some pretty good reasons for late-term abortion sometimes. Anencephaly is a condition where the fetus does not have a brain. Anencephalic infants do not tend to survive into adulthood, because we need a brain for so many things. No more than 2% that are born alive even survive past 7 days. Some women do carry these pregnancies to term, but should they be forced to, knowing what they do? In 1987, 48% of women who had abortions past 16 weeks said they found it hard to make arrangements. The "pro-life" laws above tend to make it harder to for women to have access to earlier-stage abortions, with things like mandatory waiting periods, since some women have to travel in order to have an abortion at all; I think it's like 87% of counties in the United States do not have abortion access. If there's nothing you can do to stop a woman from having an abortion, would you rather it be in the first trimester, or the third?

As for my taxes, I would much rather fund giving women access to abortions they are going to have anyway so that they can have them earlier, than funding the war in Iraq, but I didn't have much choice about that either.

Some people interpret the Bible differently. Even in the United States, there are lots of different denominations of Protestants. And let's not forget Catholics and Jews, to whom the Bible is also a sacred text. Some people's interpretations of the Bible don't consider homosexuality to be a sin. They still consider themselves to be Christian. So wouldn't this also be discriminating against somebody on the basis of their religion? Against, well, other Christians, in fact?

This passage asserts that this priest is "not especially Christian in much of what he does" but it doesn't look like the author was especially interested in finding anything else about him, besides the fact that he is gay.

All anyone has to do is open their eyes to see that everything that Obama has done so far is anti-Christian, and we are blind if we can not recognize that it will never get any better>

I don't see any of this as being especially anti-Christian. I see it more as like, pro-treating-gay-people-like-human beings.

Real love tells people when there is danger ahead.
False love tells people that everything is okay, and then finaly pushes those it lies to off the cliff.

Activism will not bring deliverance to homosexual people.
Only the gospel is the power of God unto salvation.

I agree wholeheartedly!
Compromise is only defeat!, and hurts everyone, destroys many.

Are there none who walk in wisdom anymore?
None that love, and honor the precepts of God almighty?

Yes, there is a remnant, and God will soon call us home.

Change my heart,OH, God, make it more like you...

All anyone has to do is open their eyes to see. Take a good look at John 9:1-41!

All a Christian needs pay attention to is God's Word alone, all of the worldly interpretataions do not amount to anything but adding to or taking away from His Word so that it benefits a group of individuals, but God's Word never changes no matter how it is interpretated by man!

Amen JWayne,
I read through your passage this morning and these vrs. stood out to me because of resent experience..
John 9:38-41
Having done all we can, we need to stand on Gods word, alone, and trust it will accomplish Gods will.
We will see worse things than these because mans heart has become depraved, without any knowledge of God.Jesus said, For judgement I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

Multitudes today choose deliberately to not see.

Even if you don't think that people should be gay, surely you don't think they deserve to be killed for it?
Hate crimes legislation is not about killing anyone. It would however make it a crime punishable by prison to witness to one of these lost souls.

Hate crimes legislation is not about killing anyone. It would however make it a crime punishable by prison to witness to one of these lost souls.

Hate crimes legislation is interested in preventing people from becoming targets of violence just because they are gay. Having it in place is, as a society, saying that we don't condone killing people because they are gay. That seems consistent with the message of Jesus as I have always interpreted it. It's worth mentioning also that hate crimes legislation already exists to protect people of different ethnicities and religions. Should we abolish that, too?

Hate crimes legislation is not interested in taking away your right to free speech. You're perfectly free to talk about your religion. You just can't force other people to listen to you. Besides, why would you continue to engage any unwilling participant in such a conversation, anyway? If the person is interested in hearing what you have to say, nobody is going to stop the two of you from talking. If they aren't interested to hear what you have to say, the polite thing to do is to leave them be. Leave it in God's hands.

If you're talking about preaching in public schools, well yes, that's already prohibited. Think of it this way: how would you feel if your child's teacher was Muslim, but instead of teaching about reading as she is being paid to do, she teaches them the tenets of Islam. How would that make you feel? You probably wouldn't be too happy about it. That's why there are private schools. Some private schools are Christian, and if you want your children to learn the Bible at school, you can opt for that. A school that is funded by the government, though, shouldn't take sides on religion, because it realizes that not everybody is the same religion, and everyone must be protected equally. In school, a child can do little more than sit there and listen to what their teacher says. The teacher has authority. Do you really want to give a public school teacher authority to teach religion to your children?

Seems strange to me it doesn't protect Christians from speaking the truth in love.
In fact it turns it around to be a hate crime, and punishable by prison.

Our Pastor has already had threats for speaking the word of God about homosexuality, and that isn't a hate crime, the warning is in love.

Good becomes evil, and evil has become good.

Can you point me in the direction of just one person who's been sent to prison for politely speaking their opinion on homosexuality?
