In todays' culture -- marrying a sister or brother would be horrible because our life-spans are so extremely shorter than back in those days. Now -- compared to back then, we live about 70 yrs. give or take -- reproductive years are much shorter. We all live in the same house - in close quarters - during that time of growing up -- realizing we are boys and girls -- for maybe 8 yrs. The hormones are kicking in and we all of a sudden realize that he's a guy and we're gals. And Biblical morality tells us to wait until we're married to enjoy sex. So -- 'getting together' with a sister or brother would be incest. Mother / Dad with their kids is incest. Against the law and very harmful to the child involved.

Entirely different scenario back in the days of living hundreds of years and kids spreading out geographically as they're growing up. They had 'hundreds' of children throughout those years. They'd come of age and mate with someone of the opposite sex. And their ages probably didn't matter, either. They would not have been living in close quarters for very long. Their kids would have kids and thus, populate the earth.

It wasn't until after the world-wide flood that the age spans dropped off a great deal.

And there was no pre-Adamic race -- which is where another bunch of people supposedly came from that lived in Nod. People want to put That into the supposed space between Genesis 1:1 and 2.

Besides, since God created Adam and then made Eve -- in order to get together and have family -- Where would another race of people Come from? And then we Also have the Gnostic gospels = false -- supposedly Adam had another wife Before Eve. In modern-day vernacular it would be called fairy tales. Cute stories that we know aren't true.

It makes more sense to stick with Scripture.

My friend, Its because of reading the scripture, and studying it, that we believe there was a preAdamic race, a preAdamic civilization...or two Genesis 1:1 is an entire, stand alone statement...it needs no other to support it....Genesis 1:2 is an entire stand alone verse...It also needs no support...Then, notice in Verse 3 and on God did not create, He called it forth, He was doing restoration...He did not create until He made the animals... All that he called forth, He had already created in Vs 1, then it became without form and void.
If we really want to argue, we could argue that the original home the fallen angels chose, was destroyed as well, and is now nothing but rubble...There was a planet between Mars and Jupiter at one time....now you know it as the 'asteroid belt'...That's in the bible too. Psalm 87...Planets do not explode, contrary to that Superman movie...God destroyed it... Isaiah 51:9

But, Sue, am I saying that the people before Adam were human? No I am not....There is no information on that that I can find...But there was definitely a civilization on the Earth before Adam...More than one actually, because there is evidence of technology, structures, and wars that took place before the time of man.... Explain Baalbek...the Temple of Jupiter built by the Romans on the foundation of a structure that man cannot even build today....Stones weighing 212,000 tons apeice.....We do not have the tech to move them, yet they were quarried and moved a distance of at least forty miles of sand to their present location....You cannot drag them across sand, you cannot lift them, yet they were moved....Somebody did it....Explain Maccu Pichu. Multi sided stones set into place so close you cannot slide a piece of paper between them. There is too much evidence to deny a preAdamic culture.... Stones as hard as taconite cut with brass tools? Not possible.

I've often wondered that my friend. I look at your aboriginals in Australia..It could be that there were more of these folks living elsewhere too...The pictures of Neanderthals and the aboriginals of Australia are not dissimilar. They're intelligent like we are, and well capable of anything they choose as we are. Is it possible that they were mistaken for a "Neanderthal" because their features are heavier than ours? No Rahab the planet does not exist since God destroyed it....Parts of it slammed into Mars, stripping away its atmosphere and changing the tilt of its axis, as well as destroying the civilization there...Parts of Rahab slammed into the Earth, into our moon and into Venus....All of those impact craters are the same age....happened at the same time...allowing for travel time between where the planet was an the impact area. There's not even enough left to make up a planet now in the asteroid belt...Most of it is long gone. but again....You can believe what you will....I'm not arguing with that right, though you want to argue with my facts.

Some Christians put word before doctrine.... I'm not a lover of churchian doctrine. I would rather see it in the Word. I too have the right to believe what I will....and I choose the Word.
