Elect according to the foreknowledge of God

Hello again, Ploughboy,

Yes, salvation was 'of the Jews' right up until the end of the Acts period, but in Acts 28:28,
Are you kidding? Salvation is still from the Jews! The true Jews who believed and obeyed God.
Salvation was no longer of the Jew only, it was sent unto the Gentiles,
Being a Jews meant one did the purification/ceremonial works of the law.
Some Jews had faith and some did not.
Jesus came to make a New Covenant based on faith and not the works of the law, the purification/ceremonial works of the law.

The Jews who did NOT ALREADY belong to God by faith, they were cut off and hardened WHILE Jesus had his earthly ministry.

When Jesus was lifted from the earth, crucified, then ALL could come to Jesus to be saved, and that means the cut off Jews and now even the Gentile enemies.

I asked her to clarify her understanding and whatever distinction she was trying to make also.... see post # 37. She clarified her position in post # 43.

It became confusing because of her post # 63 which seems to contradict what she explained previously.
I rechecked those posts and still don't understand what she is talking about, but thanks for trying.

The only chords I play are vocal. But yes, I love music. In it I hear His voice.
Such a blessing to be able to sing and it sound good, and to play instruments. What do you mean when you say in it I hear His voice? Are you saying your voice is as beautiful as God's voice?

If I was saying that, I would have said that.

But I didn't.

Music has always had a place. Ever since the days of Jubal we've been celebrating with jubilation. The first example that comes to mind is in Exodus-- the song of Moses, and more.

Miriam the prophetess, Aaron’s sister, took the timbrel in her hand, and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dancing.

Miriam answered them,
“Sing to the LORD, for He is highly exalted;
The horse and his rider He has hurled into the sea.”

I was just trying to understand you better.
Maybe you meant you like hear his voice in that you sing his words?

Nice to have a nice voice to sing with. You have any videos where you are singing?

I love all the scriptures, but why would you post that at this time?
I was speaking about red hair and it being associated with something bad.

He’s decided that Adam means red.

It doesn’t, but that fact likely falls on deaf ears. Why let facts mess up personal theories?

Here’s a little song I wrote. You might want to sing it note by note... don’t worry. Be happy.

Wrong, Adam in the Hebrew is shown as ruddy= red

Strong’s Definitions
אָדַם ʼâdam, aw-dam'; from H119; ruddy i.e. a human being (an individual or the species, mankind, etc.)

Ruddy means red in Hebrew…

Strong’s Definitions
אַדְמֹנִי ʼadmônîy, ad-mo-nee'; or (fully) אַדְמוֹנִי ʼadmôwnîy ; from H119; reddish (of the hair or the complexion):—red, ruddy.

The primitive root.

Strong’s H120 adam, a concrete noun meaning, “man,” from Strong’s H119אדםadam, a primitive root meaning, “to be red.”

How bout the Greek meaning of Adam…..

Outline of Biblical Usage
  1. Adam = "the red earth"
    1. Adam, the first man, the parent of the whole human family

Oh I missed the part where he said Adam means red.
I just know that my hair being reddish came with some false wives tales type of stuff. Poor red heads. lol

John 3:8
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

It’s H110. You know this, but you’re invested in your theory and won’t humble yourself.

H110 is not Adam, it is “Adbeel”H110

Gen 25:13 - And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael,Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, H110 and Mibsam,

Another swing and a miss, 3 strikes and your out!

Mr Strong is your Teacher?
Do you know he is biased from his denomination of choice?
You have to make all kinds of loops and twists to get that Esau's red hair means what?

It’s what the color red “symbolizes” in both Adam and Esau.

Isaiah 1:18
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

The color “red” symbolizes “sin”
