Greetings Bill
A good question, it is always good to get us to look back at the scriptures and refresh our knowledge.
The first question I would raise based on what you have said is, where are the two witnesses when the Rapture occurs? At the point of the Rapture?
We know that God will grant the two witnesses authority and it will be for 1260 days, but when do they actually come onto the scene? At the rapture or within the seven year, Tribulation and Great Tribulation periods.
Revelation 11:3
And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.
Malachi tells us Elijah the prophet will be sent, before, the coming of the great and terrible day.
Malachi 4:5
Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the LORD.
We also know the two witnesses will be called back to Heaven
Revelation 11:12
And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here " Then they went up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies watched them.
We also know that The Two Witnesses are
Moses and Elijah.
In 1 Kings 18 - It is Elijah who calls down fire from heaven.
It is Elijah who shut the sky so that it would not rain.
It is Moses who struck the Nile and turned it to blood.
It was Moses who struck the land of Egypt with plagues
The two witnesses seem to appear in the first part of the Tribulation period, but when in the first part? At the time of the Rapture?
Looking in more detail... The first 3.5 years being 42 months, the period for the two witness' 1260 days, 42 months
Please fill in any gaps or bits missed, all, it was a good question you raised brother Bill
Bless you.
