Mask talk???

I know they have been fudging the numbers for quite some time (comes from the Holy Spirit), but its good that they finally admit it. But also I know that truly bad virus's, much worse than covid19, are coming. Probably havent finished making it in some lab.

So you are saying that they clamped down on your news organizations to not allow them to print the full truth.
I don't know why TBH. More likely a server configuration problem, copyright or data protection issue.

I highly doubt it. With all the media control over here, some truth still gets out, over there, the media control is probably much broader.

So does that mean we up the ante from 0.3% to 0.4% ?
Asking for a friend.
Rev 6:7-8

7 When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come.” 8 I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Just found this thread this morning -- Very interesting. IF it were as simple as 'cover your mouth when sneezing / coughing" -- simply Practice common sense personal hygene -- there would not be such a huge 'situation' growing by the leaps and bounds that it has been allowed to. It IS government controllling the masses. How much are 'we' going to allow the 'powers that be' To control us.

When a mask becomes a fashion statement -- it's going Too far. We are becoming conditioned to not minding wearing one -- cause everyone Else is Trying to be okay with it?! Masks and social distancing are causing a real problem. So - how much of a real problem are we willing to allow -- for the sake Of.

A lot Is our freedom of Choice.

This election is going to be the most crucial in this world. Of course, the same was thought with the last election and the one before That. And for good reason. When a part of this country is willing to destroy in order to try to keep Trump from being re-elected --then it's obvious that he's doing something Right. The swamp he's Trying to drain is willing to do most Anything necessary to keep the swamp alive.

And Biden is a joke -- IF he were to get elected -- who would actually Be running this country?

This mask wearing is fairly symbolic. A new world order is Trying to emerge.

I'm not usually any where near this expressive -- but this thread is allowing me to be and it feels good to be able To express.

The pros and cons of what it means to 'be Christian' in the midst of all this. As the Holy Spirit leads in whatever set of circumstances a person finds themselves in. I live alone and don't work -- an entirely different situation from lots of others.

The only way to be Really prepared is to be Spiritually ready -- accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior -- then when He Does decide it's time to take the Church out of This mess -- 'we' Will be ready Now to meet Him in the air and be with Him for ever more. And in the meantime -- share the Gospel unto salvation with whomever is willing to listen. And maybe a mask with John 3:16 or some other Scripture would be a conversation opener -- ya never know.

I only wear a mask when going into church or Walmart or Harbor Freight -- the later of those is rare. Had to buy some tools that weren't available at Walmart.

What are your thoughts on this mandate for wearing mask?? from a biblical perspective if possible.

thanks
Yes. Wearing a mask is protecting others and yourselves. We need to have compassion and love others and stop being so rebellious and hateful.

@Debwater -- Dave M. had suggested from a Biblical perspective , if possible. So -- How is wearing a mask protecting others and ourselves? The job of a mask is to protect others within a six foot range from being affected by coughing / sneezing, correct? Why not exchange a mask with carrying a handkerchief / several napkins with a person To cover their nose and mouth for when the person Does cough or sneeze Or cough sneeze into your own folded arm. That would be taking personal responsibility for your own personal hygene. And That would also enable immediate identification of 'who you are' to people around you.

Isn't freedom of choice for each individual Also very important. Everyone is going to get sick and die at some point in their lives. It's a Given / Fact.

Isn't it equally important for each person to learn from their own choices RATHER than having a government agency Dictate to us.

We Need to be able to encourage one another in a more up-close way. When I was growing up -- on TV.-- is was the Bad guy who'd put the mask up on his face when robbing the stage coach or the bank or whatever Bad thing was going to happen. It helped Hide the identity of a person.

Now -- if we had air purification problems -- like some countries Do -- then wearing a mask -- a more sophisticated one -- would be justified. In fact -- in the areas of this country with all the wild fires burning. My younger daughter and family live in Colorado fairly close To one of the fires. The smoke drifting over to their town is causing my daughter to need a mask on to be outside doing yard work or most Anything. And she's perfectly healthy.

But all of a sudden -- Before we knew what we were dealing with , I guess, the authorities were Mandating the closing Of. Never before had That happened in history. People Do - sometimes - bring up back in 1918 or so -- Spanish flu that wiped out thousands of people. It stopped on it's own. Nature took it's course.

Back in the days that Jesus Christ was here -- He had love and compassion For Everyone. He Died on the cross for everyone and then was buried and rose again bodily the 3rd day.

Did the Dr's back then ever suggest wearing a face mask? Dr. luke in the Gospels was a Dr. -- ever anything mentioned in God's Word regarding wearing a mask for protection? Not that I've ever read.

How Do we show love and compassion? By tending To the sick. If we aren't feeling well -- running a temp -- we use our common sense and lay down and rest. When we have a sick family member / child , we let them rest and we also sit by their side being an emotional strength For them.

The deal Seems to be to 'protect Grandma/ Grandpa' -- so stay away -- wear a mask around them. Well -- they Need to be with their family / loved ones. I'm speaking As a 71 yr old Grandma. I live by myself. Lonliness is Not fun. So, by all means -- Come see me -- plain face and all. I Love to see smiles and a hug would be really nice.

And, honestly -- there's a lot of political fear-mongering taking place -- being Allowed To take place.

And with freedom of speech -- you Can call some of us 'hatefull and rebellious' if you choose to because we resist being Told to / Mandated to wear a mask. People Need to be able to make their own decisions -- whether 'we' feel they are wise decisions or not. How do people Grow in knowledge / experience if we are not allow to be responsibility For our own actions. And if we die in the process -- we're all going to die Anyway. But I'm Not going to go coughing / sneezing in someone's face -- That is being hateful / rebellious.

I'd Rather have a face in plain view when within those 6 feet. I want to have people see that I'm Smiling at them -- a Pleasant expression on my face.

Another perspective -- fear.

I'm an old guy. A lot of things have changed in my life. When I was a child, we went swimming in the river, jumped off the bridge overpass into the river.
Rode bicycles without helmets. Took guns out in the backyard and shot coke cans. Did wheelies on our dirt bikes across the dike. Jumped out of swings
when they were at the highest point. When I was olderI went bungie jumping, parachuting, and hang-gliding. I done freestyle cliff-climbing. I've gone
down home-made zip lines without a harness.
There are pictures of me, before I was 10 years old, climbing trees and being more than 40 or 50 feet from the ground. We built tree-forts with no walls.
When was old enough, I went into the military. After that I was a fireman for nearly 10 years. I went in burning buildings.
I seems the more dangerous something was... the more I wanted to do it.

Now I suppose maybe that's bragging a little. I don't even recommend most people do some of the things I've done.
But now it's against the law to swim in the river. It's against the to jump off the bridge. It's against the law to shoot guns in the back-yard.
It's against the law to climb frees. It's against the law to ride bicycles without a helmet. Firemen can no longer ride the tailboards of firetrucks.
We teach our children "be safe". Don't climb trees, don't ride dirt-bikes. Don't play football, you might get hurt.
Yes there's a good chance you might break a bone, you might scrap a knee, you might get bruises. We teach feminism, and teach against
"toxic masculinity". We teach men to be sissies, it's OK to be feminine. Schools teach guns are evil, dangerous sports are evil,
and doing anything against what the government tells you to do is evil.

Some of these laws are good things, some of these laws probably protect people and save lives. They aren't all bad.
But when I was a child, I could pray in school and take my Bible to school, that's against the law now also. Not all the laws are good.
So now we have Antifa and BLM bullying people because they are afraid. They've been taught to be afraid and fear everything.
Me personally, intimidation does not work for me. I'm old now. Too old to play those games anymore. But I'm still brave enough
to stand up for what's right. I'm still brave enough to stand up for freedom. Yes freedom.

The government says we can't do this, we can't do that. We can't go here. We can't meet and gather together to have church.
(But we can meet together for almost anything else). Most Christians are in fear. They are afraid. They might get sick and die.
Yes, they might. But at least they lived. A famous American patriot once said "Give me liberty or give me death".
This generation is all too willing to accept slavery because of fear.

The fact is, people are going to get sick. People are going to die. People will break bones and get bruises. I say let them.
I would rather die free than "be safe" in fear. But from what I've seen, none of these mask wearing practices make anyone any safer.
Masks don't stop anything, except boldness.

Yes, we can have church "on-line". We can still pray. Some of our churches websites have conveniently been down from their
internet provider (you can still get to other internet sites). Some video content has been controlled and lost by some hosting providers.
Some videos are blocked completly depending on how you share them. Facebook blocks a lot of content here.

Where in the Bible did people do this? Where did they cower in fear? It seems every single Bible story is about people standing up
against oppression. Do we trust God or do we trust the government? Which one has lied to us the most?

I can tell by reading some of these posts, many have bought off on the fear. "Be afraid".

Totally agree with you. No one in the Bible cowers with fear. Well -- Judas Iscariot was very unhappy after having betrayed Jesus -- even the money he got for doing it meant nothing to him after the fact.

We need a few Moses's to stand up to Pharaoh, a few David's to stand up to Goliath, a few Shadrach's and Meshach's to stand up to Nebuchadnezzar.
We need a few Samson's to stand up to the Philistines, we need a few Elijah's to stand up to Ahab and Jezebel, we need some Peter's and Paul's to stand up
to the Pharisee's and Roman autocracy. Where are the Rahab's, the Jael's and Esther's? Where are these Christians today?

We're getting a glimpse of that Now -- just wait till after the Election. That will be an eye-opener.

And an answer to many christians prayers in this country is Trump, a baby christian with a whole lot of baggage still hanging on, but unlike so many christians, he has a backbone and the desire to stand up for whats right. And instead of christians all over realizing this, through the power of the Holy Spirit, and supporting him, at least a 3rd of christians can only see the glaring faults of any new christian in the public eye, and are only vocal in criticizing him. Very sad, speaks to the many who are religious, but not filled and led by the Holy Spirit.

I mainly agree with you -- just don't know where you get the 1/3 number of Christians. etc. part. "but not filled and led by the Holy Spirit" -- you're sounding Almost a bit judgemental.

Not filled and not led by the Holy Spirit.... look to the pharisees for the example, clean on the outside, but not on the inside. They were not led by the whispers of the Holy Spirit, but by what they considered the "proper division of the Word of God". Even though they didnt have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit as made available today, they could pray, and wait on the Holy Spirit to speak to them as He did to Samuel, when he was apprenticed to Eli. Today, many speak the right words, and do the right things in public, but in private, filled with malice, deception, and many sinful ways. This was the way of the pharisee, and I dont speak of the new christians with the baggage left over from their old life, I speak of people who attend church or speak of scripture with fondness, having done so for many years, but NO inward change of the heart. You know whom I speak of. As to the 1/3, on earth as it is in heaven, 1/3 of the angels rebelled against God, and the Holy Spirit told me it would be about the same here to a little more. The 5 virgins without oil, the many falling away, even the elect deceived, even as we have been grafted on, so we can be cut off. Its all over scripture, and you know the scriptures I speak of, it has nothing to do with judgement on my part, its all there in black and white to whomever reads in scripture with the leading of the Holy Spirit.
