I mainly agree with you -- just don't know where you get the 1/3 number of Christians. etc. part. "but not filled and led by the Holy Spirit" -- you're sounding Almost a bit judgemental.

The Bible does say we are supposed to judge those in the church. ( 1Cor 5 )
But judgment aside, would you say those "Christians" who support gay lifestyles, abortions, and living in fornication/adultery are Spirit filled Christians?

Step it up a notch, would you say "Christians" that support vandalism and violence are Spirit filled?

Step it up another notch, would you say "Christians" that oppose the Bible and 'sound doctrine' are Spirit filled?

Sometimes we have to judge a little.

Maybe it's the term "Spirit filled" -- the 1/3 number -- Every born again believer has the Holy Spirit indwelling them. That person should Not be supporting the gay lifestyle or any of the other things you mentioned. So - in those respects -- by their attitudes they will be known. Agree.

I didnt say it with the hopes you would believe me, I was led by the Holy Spirit to say it, its up to others to hear or not hear it. I only must speak when motivated to do so by the Holy Spirit.

This is the response I was referring to -- the 1/3 number of Christians. Is that what the Holy Spirit was leading you to include? And I'm probably sounding nitpicy -- but just my thought on the subject.

And I responded in post 80 to that 1/3 when I wrote....

As to the 1/3, on earth as it is in heaven, 1/3 of the angels rebelled against God, and the Holy Spirit told me it would be about the same here to a little more. The 5 virgins without oil, the many falling away, even the elect deceived, even as we have been grafted on, so we can be cut off. Its all over scripture.

As I said, you need not believe me, it was not my purpose to ensure that everyone agree with me, I merely must state what the Holy Spirit put on my heart to write.

You seriously think I am following satans commands? Heck no. I can see what the mask agenda is from a mile away. The masks dont work, this is about control and social distancing. We can see people facial expressions, cant see them smile, there facial features are hidden, so we all look like a bunch of automatons wandering around the streets. This is from Bezalbub, as he has a deep hatred for man. He has found a pretty clever way of making us look foolish and weak.

@Gregoryp -- your bio says you're from Australia -- what's the COVID situation where you're at? That might make a difference.

And, I'm not sure there's a Biblical perspective -- except that no one ever wore a mask in the Bible.

Up until these past few months of masks Being mandated -- it's never been a question. People just used common sense hygene.

There are only two stores / places I go to -- Walmart and church and a couple times in Harbor Freight. A person has to put on their mask before going in the stores, but as soon as we're out -- off they come.

IF a person absolutely Refuses to wear one they probably would be suggested to go elsewhere to shop.

And a lot depends on your particular set of circumstances. I live by myself so I don't wear one.

On the Otherhand -- when a vaccine becomes available I Won't be taking it.

Following satan's commands? well -- depends on a person's perspective. The people who came up With the mask thing definitely aren't believers but they Are in somewhat of a position of authority. But we Also see lot of debate. At least in This country we do. We see lots of 'up-set' people over a lot of destruction taking place. Lots of problems to be coped with.

And the Main thing is that God wants a personal relationship with each of us. He can deal with each of us on a personal level.

And it depends on How a person is choosing to express himself/ herself.

And there are those who feel that 'this' is simply a prelude To the 666 mark of the beast. But, believers won't be around here for the 7 yrs of tribulation.

A week or two ago, I drove over to Walmart to do some shopping -- went to get my mask -- I have 3 of them. None were with me. So -- I went back home 5 minutes away -- got one and went back to do my shopping.

Ok. Let me be the second person to rebuke you: you are doing the the wrong thing by refusing to wear a mask.

Wearing a face covering for a short time helps protect others. It's not going to socially condition you to look or behave like an automaton. Just show some responsibility.

it absolutley does not protect anyone from cvoid this is false. most mask are only made to protect from a certain size , cvoid is much smaller and can easily go through the mask we are being socially conditioned.

this does not keep me from wearing a mask for the comfort of others, Love does not insist on it own way, and is patient and endures evil. so I wear one to comfort those that are deceived, because I know they will never understand what is going on.

we are being socially conditioned to do things that make no reasonable sense at all, phase 2 will be the vaccines, people take vaccines for the flue and still die.

cvoid is not very dangerous at all, in the USA only 10,000 people have died from it, it is real but 10,000 people dying from it does not make it a pandemic, the cure if for worst then virus ever was.

Breathing in and out, small humid drops will escape out the mask, breathing in, virus in the air will be breathed in even with a mask that doesnt have a perfect seal, both cases. Its not rocket science.

It is important to remember who we are.
The opposition to the Gospel is always keen to point out as much as possible any and every fault that can be leveled at Christians, thereby against Him Whose name we represent.
People are always looking for a scapegoat to blame, as well .
In the scenario that you ask about, all it would take is for someone to put forward a summary report of the percentage of those who state they are Christian who are either refusing to or have been caught not wearing alleged protective masks and it is suddenly all the Christians fault.
More importantly though is that we can rub the name of our LORD in disgrace by our actions against authorities and we have to ask ourselves if we want to add to the great damage that has already been done by the innumerable bad things that professing Christian people have done throughout history.
When people speak about Christ and His Church, should they be able to say that not only are Christians trouble but also that they set a rebellious example to others and that that is how you can tell that they are Christian?
People judge Christianity by what they see Christians do.

Let us add to all that that we are pilgrims and foreigners and this is not our home. Therefore, let us not get preoccupied with the way of the world but let us rather be occupied with Him until He returns.
