Shocking Youth Message Stuns Hearers

i see, but hearing Paul Washer sermon could be something shocking to me, to be honest. Because as i watched this video again and again, i got
a view that there is a problem not only Christian in Western but also in Asia.

Deeply sorry if i offended anyone, because the purpose is to reason my faith so that i can a proper stand. As you see, i can't exercise my faith alone. To be honest again, each reply of all of you brings joy to me. Because no one ever listen my arguement. Now i get all the beatiful understaning from all of you.

Do uphold me in prayer, because i am a youngest seminarian in theological college. Because i had a Passion to work with Christ and it was privilage that i was chosen by Him. Pray that my church in Malaysia will continue to grow and never let themselves comfort to the simple faith that we had gain. Bless you all!!

GOD bless you sempurai. I'll keep you in prayer. I'm glad to see your humble to accept teachings. In regards to the pm you sent me earlier, its best to be careful of those pastors you mentioned. If they drink like drunkards, the are likely not being guided by the Holy Spirit.

Dude, totally! I will lift you up in my prayers. I concur with Chad.

Bible thumping

Why does giving this beautiful message from the Lord Jesus Christ, our Saviour and the One who made all mankind come across as Bible thumping. We are talking about our Maker.

I have such opposition from some people who are not convicted and I feel that they are thinking I'm trying to persuade them to believe in something terrible. It is so sad that there is such opposition, God is so very good and that is how He intended us to be. What we are trying to tell people is that to follow Jesus is to follow total joy and happiness. Why do people oppose that, after all, that is what the world seems to seek but totally misses the point.

I have just spent 4 days with a man who is totally bedridden and a wife who loves him so very much. She is a Christian and so is he. I talked to his daughter who doesn't seem to believe in Jesus and said he was just pretending to be a Christian to his wife in order to please her. I am at a loss that people will not enfold the Christian faith which is of goodness, love, kindness, gentleness and hope.

We Christians are not giving bad tidings to people, our tidings are of joy. Such joy that the world will be totally amazed. Why don't people want this?

I am so frustrated having been with this beautiful couple who are suffering so much.

I know it's the devil who is causing this opposition to God's precious love.

Chad, keep going with your wonderful Ministry whatever the devil may throw your way, and he will. We all need you and we need each other.

God bless you all.

Amen. In response to the red bolded part I highlighted in your message, I know this is 100% true. I've gotten about 5 one post wonders type of members who I had to ban due to their conflict in this thread and of course, their hate email they sent me as well. I'm not surprised, but blessed to ban such trouble makers and continue pressing on in the good race - in faith.

Chad, you are a wonderful servant of God. Don't ever ever lose heart in your Ministry for Him our Saviour. He will never leave you or forsake you, He loves so much to see all that you are doing for Him. Keep that armour on so that it throws off the arrows of those who oppose Him. We must all do that, especially now in these dark days. His light will always be there for us so that we can see clearly the way to Him.

We must not falter.

Dear Sempurai,

We will uphold you in prayer. You are never alone, this is why the Lord has guided you to come to this wonderful, Godly site. We all need each other because we are all standing against a very evil force. It is a spiritual battle of good against evil that we are facing and we can only win with God's help.

I believe that the battle is intensifying and therefore we need more and more strength from Jesus our Saviour. If we rely on that strength completely we will never be defeated.

God bless you richly Sempurai and all my brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

PRAISE BE TO HIM!

My last posting was to Sempurai. I picked out a part of his posting but I didn't know how to highlight it. I am new here. I hope that it wasn't confusing.

:) Don't worry Veda, your doing fine. Your very kind and sincere in your posts, I really respect that from people and you speak with motivation. We all must encourage and motivate each other in Christ, not belittle someone when they are trying to bless others.

Nothing is easy when your racing the race for Christ - but its 100% doable when Christ is the pilot, not the co-pilot (I'm sure many heard that saying before)

awesome message

I viewed the sermon last week and couldn't stop watching until the end.
I just read several of the earlier negative responses to it and the first thing that struck me was that this message didn't seem to be geared to unbelievers at all but rather more of a wake up call or slap in the face to those who already claim to be saved christians! Also a necessary rebuking of false teaching. TalkJesus should be commended for posting this sermon.

I have to admit that it convicted me at times and helped me realize that this IS what God's word says and that it's to be taken seriously and with reverance to GOD THE CREATOR! We have allowed our views of God to turn into the likeness of Santa Claus in American churches rather than one who deserves our obediance and respect, and fear.

As a testamony to the timeliness of this in my life, just before I viewed the video I was at a Staff-Parishoner's meeting at my church where I left totally appalled at what took place. Our Pastor basically got chastised and beat up for all the things he's doing "wrong." Things like wearing a suit instead of his robe, coming down from the pulpit during his sermons, playing some contemporary christian music as part of the service, taking too long to do the sermon etc. I was blown away by what struck me as petty concerns and how angry some were at him.

Our Pastor is a born again, spirit-filled believer and he's doing an awesome job for the Lord! He's preaching salvation and the truth, and all that concerns some are whether he's wearing his robe or not.

So then I get home and here's this video Chad posted for us, very much along the same lines as what I witnessed prior. I was once again blown away!

Just yesterday we had the pleasure of having Peter Whitehouse speak at our church (at the evening service, not the regular one)and guess what? He too spoke of similar things! What a week!

I guess the Holy Spirit is speaking to all of us about these things, these strongholds within our churches. They have to go! In the name of Jesus they have to go. So many people have been deceived and maybe while I'm at it I should put myself in that category too not all that long ago.

Thanks for sharing this with us!

PS. My Pastor would very much like to view this sermon but only has dial-up. Is there a way to download it? I don't see anything that would allow that at the end. Sorry, not a youtuber!

To download the video, click here. It will take you directly to the Heartcry Missionary website that has the same video. Right below the video you will see a link to download the video. Note: it will download in .flv video format. Most multimedia video players by default do not pay this extension/format. You can download a free flv video player here.

The link is there. It says "Download Video!" on the very bottom left immediately below the video. Refresh your page and try again. Its there.

While I was reading the article.. a verse hit my head: "I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven." I've always wondered what that meant, and now I do. I think he was referring to the narrow path.

Children are willing to learn..

God can't disciple a person who is not willing to learn...
You are on the right track, Joshua. In the verse you refer to (Mt 18:3), Jesus is telling the disciples that they (and we) must have the simple, all-trusting faith of little children in order to enter the Kingdom.

I have no idea why it's not showing, I'm positive that I got javascript enable and pop-ups are allowed. Strange.. anyway, that download link worked. Downloading it now, thanks Chad.

Paul Washer taught salvation by works?

I think Fundamental misunderstood the sermon of Paul Washer.
God saves us in order that we can do good works."We are His workmanship created to do good work" as Paul mentioned in Ephesians.
Those who are genuinely saved by God will eventually follows the cross and sufferings of Christ in God's appointed time for him/her. God has plan from the very beginning that all true disciple of Christ will truly make Jesustheir Lord and Master and this is made possible by Christ Himself inside the body of that true children of God whom the Holy Spirit dwells. God chose us before the creation of the world to become holy and blameless and it is only possible by sharing the sufferings of Jesus Christ and forsaking the way of this evil world
Salvation is free and it is a gift from God. But it is also expensive> Jesus Christ saves us in order that He can use us to do good works and not because we are doing good works. And even the work we are doing is not our own good works (which is filthy rags to God) but it is Christ.
No, Paul Washer is not adding work to the gospel of grace. He is emphasizing that a truly genuine believers will live a righteous life of forsaking the evil way of this world. Of course, believers (those truly saved) growth in holiness is a lifetime process and God will see to it that all those who were already saved who still live a carnal life will eventually share the sufferings of Christ in God's appointed time.

God is sovereign who controls everything even our thoughts and even the sin we commit. God will see to it that those who are truly saved will do good works. I think that is one of the main point of Paul Washer because it is God's plan that all who will be heir of God's free salvation will become like Christ in a small way. True Christians do good works and follow Christ otherwise he is not truly saved because God will never allow anyone whom He purchase by His blood to follow Satan the devil. And even if God does. It is only for a season in order to teach His children some valuable lesson.

Brother Chad- Strong chastisement but completely necessary. sonnyd

I watched the full video on Sunday and wanted to let everything seep in and talk to God about it before I replied.
I consider myself to be open to conviction. I somewhat enjoy it when the message at church or the Scripture grabs a hold of me and lets me know what I'm doing wrong. To me, that shows that I AM a child of God, and He is my loving Father who corrects me.
Paul said a few things that I agreed with, but the manner and words that He used really aggravated my spirit. But I kept watching so I would be sure to get the full picture. I even asked God to confirm the message if it was truly from Him. Sure enough, that night I read the verse about the narrow path. Then the next morning, I heard a message on the local Christian radio station. One that has wonderful lessons. Right before it started, I was talking to God, and told Him what was on my heart. What I felt a person's salvation depended on: their relationship with Jesus. Sure enough, the message on the radio confirmed that. But the manner and the words the speaker used on the radio was what made the message sink into my heart. In a loving, but firm way. He made the idea of a relationship with Jesus inviting. The video, in my opinion, was not. Not that it is made to be. But to start off a message talking about the majority of people in the building going to hell is not my idea of the spirit of God. Noone but GOD can say what a person's salvation is. And when I am convicted, it is the Holy Spirit who does it in my heart, not the person conveying the message.
I am not going to lie, I hesitated in saying my opinion on here based on the response that I have received in the past when I have disagreed with the majority. But it was heavy on my heart to say what I know of God and how He disciplines me. Love you all, and God bless. :star:
