I think there's some credibility in this theory because certain verses of scripture seem to point to this scenario.

The 1/3 of the Jews that will turn back to God will survive God's judgment by fire. The 144,000 Jews that are sealed by God are set apart for a job.

There are about 15,000,000 Jews in the world now. If the tribulation would start now about 5,000,000 Jews would survive.

Hello all.

I was reading through the posts on this thread when I noticed that someone
stated the following;

"This means the Antichrist will facilitate a peace treaty for seven years, there will be
a temple and the formal legalistic Jewish worship of God will be outlawed after 3.5yrs."

In order for the Jews to be able to build a new temple on the temple mount.
The Jews would need to secure the site first, as it is under the control of Islam.
I remember reading years ago that Islam has three Islamic temples on the mount.
It is the third most holy site for Islam in the world, I would like to see the Jews
claim that ground.

Also, have read that the Jews who are seeking to rebuild the temple have
already stated that they will not introduce animal sacrifices. Performing
animal sacrifices in the modern era would be most unpopular. So how
is it possible that the sacrifices would be stopped by the antichrist?

Don't concern yourself with Islamic control, the hardline Islamic states have been bowled over or are in the process, (Syria) it's my guess that the Peace treaty will contain concessions that will allow the Jews to have equal access to the temple mount.
After the removal of Marbarak, Gadaffi and now Assad, when his Syrian goverment is sudued we will have the 7yr peace process soon after IMO.

The building of the Temple to the Jew is just a monument to the covenant of Law and really flies in opposition to the New Covenant of grace, it's not going to benefit the Jew one iota!
It's nothing to celebrate from a spiritual perspective, at least for the purpose they put it to, but what a prophecy fulfillment it would be!

When the antichrist confirms the covenant to divide Israel, he will give Israel all of Jerusalem and half of the temple mount to build a temple. At the middle of the tribulation the antichrist will break the covenant and take Jerusalem and the temple for himself.

The court area is where the Al Asqua mosque stands.

The two witnesses will be in Israel testafing for Jesus for 1260 days Revelation 11:3, 7-12. After the whole world is devoured by the ten kings in the first half of the tribulation, God causes the kings to revolt against the harlot church and give their power to the antichrist Revelation 17:12-18. At the middle of the tribulation the antichrist turns on Israel and takes it from the Jewish people.

I do have an issue with what you stated above.

I will provide the first three lines from the second letter
that Paul wrote to the Thessalonians.

2 Thessalonians 2

1 Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him,

This is the rapture, the return of Christ, the gathering together.

2 that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.

The day of the Lord has not occurred yet, since there are two significant events
that will precede His arrival.

3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,

Here Paul specifies the two events that must take place first.

1) The apostasy must occur first, this is the great falling away.

2) The revelation of the man of lawlessness.

Do not be misled, these two events must occur before Jesus returns for
the saints.

I do have an issue with what you stated above.

He is the false prophet of the book of Revelation, there can be no doubt!

Because their time of empowerment is parallel, I'm sure the antichrist will be Nicolas Sarkozy the ex-French president, he to will rise from the ashes of his political demise in France, speculation has it that he's soon to make a comeback.
During his Presidency he forfilled many prophetic assumptions laying the ground work for the united empire and the demise of two kings that he lead to the overthrow thereof, Egypt and Libya, also the fall of Syria is also his brainchild. See Daniel 11:42.
We are talking about the reign of antichrist here, not Antiochus, because he never extended his power this far or ruled over many nations, no this is future and relates to antichrist.
This has been forfilled under his guidance and direction, Western forces were put under authority.

When scripture speaks about "the comfortor being taken out of the way" for the Antichrist to be revealed, doesn't mean that he'll just appear out of nowhere it means that he'll be in his position of power to effect the lives of people and nations and undertake his deceptions of the world.
Scripture says the secret powers or hidden powers of Satan are at work and always have been here and working....it is wrong to assume this relates to the timing of the translation of the saints that we must go the very second he appears on the TV or something like that.
Quite the contrary he makes war (with laws) against Christians in the first 42 mths of his reign (see Rev13:7) and I think that'll have to do with the homosexual acceptance thing and the intolerance problems between Islam and the West due to terrorism, our refusal to embrace the new ideology to embrace world peace, so we will be branded non conformists, potential terrorists, something like that it must be.

The restraint of the holy spirit being taken away, just means Antichrist can only act on Gods say so and in his timeframe, because only he is almighty and sovereign. It doesn't mean Antichrist cannot be here when the holy spirit is in the world or visa versa and therefore christians cannot be either, remember Satan and Jesus where on the same planet at the same time in the confrontation in the wilderness temptations.
No, his direct appearing has nothing to do with the timing of the rapture.

Hello Eric.

One event Eric.

In Paul's first letter to the Thessalonians, Paul describes the return of Christ and the
gathering together of the saints. The dead (asleep) in Christ rise first and we join them
in the clouds to meet the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4
13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

Daniel says that they give over to him, their authorities, I just don't understand how you could possibly arrive at your conclusion rational deduction would conclude we have multiple nations involved here!

I guess it'd be hard to comprehend how a union of nations other than the EU as in the Mediterranean Union could suddenly become the power base of Antichrist and the most powerful force in the world in a matter of what would seem moments if you don't understand the true power structure that governs the world.
Not you're fault, not many people do.

Fact is, nations did once exist as separate entities ruled by kings, the International Bankers and their money markets rule, the elite politicians that get to the top are bought and owned, my nation and yours are at the mercy of these people, that is the real world in the 20th and 21st Centuries, and that is why Christ is soon to return.
They have an agenda and that is one world government under the eventual leader whom the bible says will be Antichrist.
That's why scripture says "it will come like a flood", because when all the pieces are in place they're ready to go on Gods say so.
By the way "google" up the statue of liberty or the plaque of the statue and just see who the controllers of your country really are apart from the Bank of Rothschild.
Same goes for all the western nations, we all live under this same sense of freedom and political free choice called democracy.
America and Australia have been fighting wars on behave of this group over the 20-21st centuries, but now they are ready to dump the so-called power nations because the jobs done and their global dictatorship is soon to begin.

That's why power and wealth can shift in a flash and as Daniel says this new global power block or Empire of ten will begin to rule because the hidden world power system wants it that way, and it can happen very quickly. It's just a matter of positioning because they actually rule.

Will we see Antichrist?

Your interpretation of 2 Thessalonians 2, is flawed, the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him refers to the rapture or the saints meeting with Christ in the air, not the seen as lightening flashes across the sky to be seen by all.
That day will not come until....the man of lawlessness "is revealed". This only means not before he is revealed, and it also DOESN'T necessarily mean on "the day" he is revealed either,....... it just means the translation doesn't happen before,......but will happen sometime after....scripture does tell us we're persecuted for 42 mths after by this Antichrist, so I'd say the translation will happen then. We see him for 42mths, that's my take!

So the one that's taken our of the way is the Holy Spirits restraining effects on Satan and his servants, rather than the "comforter" the Holy Spirit as the "Restrainer" will be taken out of the way, the comforter will remain and always remains in Christians, we will experience possibly experience death, that's why Revelation says it could be loss of property, prison or death.
This is referring to the time of persecution under Antichrists rule of 42mths. Rev 6:11, and 13:5-7.

This only means not before he is revealed, and it also DOESN'T necessarily mean on "the day" he is revealed either,....... it just means the translation doesn't happen before,......but will happen sometime after....scripture does tell us we're persecuted for 42 mths after by this Antichrist, so I'd say the translation will happen then. We see him for 42mths, that's my take!

So the one that's taken our of the way is the Holy Spirits restraining effects on Satan and his servants, rather than the "comforter" the Holy Spirit as the "Restrainer" will be taken out of the way, the comforter will remain and always remains in Christians, we will experience possibly experience death, that's why Revelation says it could be loss of property, prison or death.
This is referring to the time of persecution under Antichrists rule of 42mths. Rev 6:11, and 13:5-7.

If Obama was to become the Antichrist, why would he require another powerbase???.....Everyone has heard and knows the military might and capacity of America is the most powerful in the world. There would be no need!
Also if Antichrist was the American President how and why could his authority include the whole of Europe and England etc, these are the true power nations of the world, sorry!...... not you guys,........ sorry to tell you but you just provide the manpower to fight the wars for the Big Euro Banks and their international recourse interests.

Of course he was smeared with sexual misconduct by his enemies to discredit him at the time and deflect proper investigations into reasons why.
As I've stated in my previous post if they want to destroy your nation they just have to revert to an alternative international currency as the worlds base currency, and give your dollar it's true worth or value according to your National Debt.
