So tired of all the ignorant bashing of Catholics

well the mere suggestion of that is very troublesome, be careful

I agree God knows everything, my spirit in my testifies to that. God is Love , but he is also a just God to those who will not repent, God cursed this world, and the word of God full explains we it is a battle between good and evil, God is so loving he lets people live hoping they repent giving them may chances.

interesting take on it, and I lean towards one can loose salvation, more then I do about osas so we agree on that. But I do not think Judas was ever saved, his testimony in the gospel, shows he was stealing from the Treasury the whole time !! that is not the fruit of a saved man. Jesus chose him to fulfill scripture that was written about his betrayal in the OT. Just because your name is written in heaven, does it mean you are saved?? it does not say his name was written in the book of life. Those that die in the second death have there names written in a book as well and that blood is in heaven, yet we know they are going to hell. so I just don't agree Judas was ever saved, but I do agree one can walk away and loose salvation.

I end to agree with this, but I doubt they will be shouting from the roof tops LOL :) they will be cowardly hiding ha ha.

I tend to agree with this, but God can and does use people that are not saved I believe, For his purpose.

We are on the same page about Luke warm Christians for sure!
"But I do not think Judas was ever saved, his testimony in the gospel, shows he was stealing from the Treasury the whole time !! that is not the fruit of a saved man."

I believe the whole thing written within Scripture has a purpose. Showing us in the same manner as the Israelites were also "the special" children of God. Yet many threw thier inheritance away. Would we not call our salvation, our inheritance?

We see it repeatedly happening with the Israelites. Saul and many others throw away their inheritance by being evil. What makes us then think that we cannot throw away our inheritance, our salvation.

You know as well as I do not all who are saved experience being saved in the same way. And others who have been saved a long time get lazy in their faith. And become literally like Judas taking advantage of people, letting their jobs run them away from church. Being part of more of this world than the church that they joined with Christ.

Do not doubt that the devil is doubling down on everything that he can. Look at the churches now how empty they are. Trust me when I say the devil is pushing hard because the time is at hand

While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled....

The Word is so easy a child can understand Him it's wh we r told we must be born again kinda like stripping off the world and it's teaching and ways and become like a child to truly go to Him...

Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven".

Some say this extends into the majority of the laws requiring animal sacrifices, as it was never possible for the blood of sheep and goats to take away sin.
For I did not speak to your fathers, or command them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices.
(Jeremiah 7:22 NKJV)

(What can I say...)

Tell us , is the scripture the Word of God?
My standard answer to this is which Word? The Bible says there are two of them.

There are two different Greek phrases that have been translated to "Word of God" in English bibles.

There is the LOGOS(word)-of-God, and the RHEMA(word)-of-God, but English readers cannot see this. All they can see is "Word of God." And yet the two concepts of LOGOS and RHEMA are very different. I've always wondered about the lying translators. (Okay, to be honest, I've always gotten angry at the lying translators - those who deceitfully handle scripture.)

From what I see, Bill, the Bible clearly defines the LOGOS(word)-of-God to be Jesus Himself (along with His teachings); and the RHEMA(word)-of-God is defined by the Bible to be the Holy Spirit.

Bill, doesn't God speak to you directly? (I know he does) and the Bible calls that the RHEMA(word) of God. If I understand correctly, then, YOU hear the Word-of-God(RHEMA). I guess this should be moved to a new thread if need to explain any further.

But whenever we read in the Bible about the "Word of God" yet substitute the word "Bible" (or scripture) in its place, we'll never understand what the Bible (or scripture) is saying about the "Word of God" (either of them).

I can't help but think that I'd better let the Bible define the "Word of God" for me (both of them).

What more can I say? :no_mouth:

(which just means, I speak)

And my apologies to @KingJ for the "derail" but he's way more adept at starting threads and stuff like that than I am.

there is another slam dunk case where Jesus says "out of the hardness of your heart moses allowed you to nofault divorce your wives, but in the beginning it was not so!"

(divorce was always permitted but you had to go through the court, Moses was tired of the volume so he allowed husbands to write the divorce decree themselves)

Exactly!!!

And Jesus and the Holy Spirit are the Word of God, as they ARE GOD.

so why then would we take pieces of the "Word" and say it is false?
Since this seems to have branched into a side topic, I have started a new thread

The Bible and the Word of God:

All within the bible, and yes so many bibles as well as the Tora is the Word.

Have you ever experienced a Deliverance of a serious demon or an exorcism. You will find that whoever has the demon in them , it will not matter what part of the Bible you read so long as it comes from the Bible . Isn't it interesting that the demon can recognize the word of God and yet humans cannot

To get back on point:

Its more like, why would we believe what a worker of lawlessness makes excuses for on the day of judgement.

It is unlikely the witch of endor actually got the biblical samuel in the flesh, who then prophesies to saul...

When while saul was alive he said he would never speak to him again.

So what is false?

Yes let us get back on point . Is all the Bible to be accepted as the Word of God ? I say Yes .

What do you say. And if you do say, no - are you then also making a mockery of God?

If not, why not?

its not that simple.

Just because someone says something to God in the bible, and God does not out-right deny it.. does not make what the person said, a true statement in all situations. remember, God cannot even be bothered to answer a person in their folly, as he takes his own advice from proverbs and elsewhere.. he lets their own self evident works of darkenss, burn up in their face.

a man confessed to a woman i know, on his death bed, that he didn't really cast out any demons. he convinced them to enter into him.
--those are the folks who are going to be ashamed on the day of judgement claiming "but i cast out demons in your name"

You will find that whoever has the demon in them , it will not matter what part of the Bible you read so long as it comes from the Bible
i learned from russ dizdar and others that all the worship music, the reciting of scripture, all it does is agitate the demon and does nothing to drive it out. it only delays the process and exxasurbates the person's suffering as they are expericncing the manifestations of the deamon.

i really prefer russ dizdar's advice.

tell the demon to shut up, command it not to touch the body, do not harm the body, mind spirit. just get out.

Jesus, because he is perfect, did not need to delay the process while he privately confesses sins asking God "why can't i cast it out"

he just told it to leave. that's it. no time wasted.

You can not tell a spirit just to get out, you must use the authority of Jesus. And if you live a sinful life without repentence, and try to drive a demon out. It will laugh at you as you are not serving God but sin.

Lol he told the demon to leave, through love. Because God is Love, and where love is, sin can not be.

i think you're smart enough to know what i'm talking about.

personally, i do believe God delegates his authority to his people. but it doesn't much matter.

no righteous person makes a grand spectacle of themselves casting out a demon.
neither do they do it in God's name publically. except when they have to.

if a branch cut down in the forest falls to the ground and no one heard it, did it make a sound?

If you mean to say Bible, then SAY Bible.

There is nothing of Jesus and Holy Spirit that is false.
There is nothing of the LOGOS and the RHEMA that is false.
But then you do the razzle dazzle and use "Word" to mean Bible. It doesn't.
So go to my new thread and continue there please.

All within the bible, and yes so many bibles as well as the Torah is the Word.
And that's your mistake.

You don't have the Torah.

How can you say, "We are wise, and the TORAH of the LORD is with us," when, in fact, the false pen of the scribes has made it into a lie?
(Jeremiah 8:8 NRSV)

It's not hard to grasp,

God is of one mind and always does whatsoever his soul desires he can he soften our hears by performing that which he lovingly appoints to us working with us

I think Job gives us the undestanding of faith (Christ in us yoked with him )

Job 23: 11-16My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.;But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.;For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him; Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider, I am afraid of him.For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me:
