The fires of hell

That and 1 Corinthians 15:1-3 "More over, brethren, I declare to you the gospel .....by which also you are saved.......that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose gain the 3rd day according to the Scriptures."

And then the Romans 10 passage that you shared. Belief in your heart and confession made unto salvation.

And if you decide to evolve spiritually, your goal is the 'Saving of the Soul' - I Peter 1:9.
"Soul Winning" is a misnomer, when people have their initial conception phase, their spirit is saved.

@Mary Magdalene -- upon a person's salvation, the Holy Spirit's indwelling will give the desire to read His Word and spiritual growth / maturiy / will take place. I don't like to use the word "evolve" -- sounds too much like evolution. We Are to be growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

There's justification, sanctification and glorification.

We Are to be growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Becoming more and more Christ-like.

The term you use -- 'initial conception' -- why 'conception / conceptual.' That's the term used in relation to a woman 'conceiving' a baby. A husband and wife come together sexually and she 'conceives' a baby. After about 9 months the baby is born.

I realize this might be dicey for you. But there is no birthing without conception. Otherwise, you won't understand Revelation 12:2, which most don't:
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

God knows there are plenty of spiritual abortions out there.

Elaborate for me on Glorification - they go hand in hand.

@ Mary Magdalene -- Why would this be dicey for me. I'm married and given birth to 4 kids.

We're talking about salvation -- where are you going with your comments?

Revelation 12:2 -- include vs 1 and 3 for context. "Now a great sign appeared in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. vs 2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth vs 3 And another sign appeared in heaven; behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads;"

on to vs 5 , "She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of Iron , and her Child was caught up to God and His throne."

Spiritual abortions out there? They go hand in hand with 'glorification'? ! Glorification is the 3rd phase of salvation. An article I found "Understanding Three Phases of Salvation" counselingoneanother .com

Because of the cross -- God sees us as 'justified' = just as if i'd never sinned.

@ Mary Magdalene -- unless you mean that being in book of Revelation might be dicey for me. It depends on what a person is trying to Do with various parts Of that book.

Yes it does. I take the whole book into context, not just various parts.

Again, I'm interested in your view on Glorification.
You either believe it's possible for those following Jesus now, or something to be obtained after physical death - which most all believe. In any case, use scripture.

I just wondered why you brought Revelation 12:2 into the picture?

Upon the death of a born again believer, they will get a glorified body like Jesus Christ had after His bodily resurrection from the dead.

Then that person will have been 'saved' from ending up in hell / lake of fire and brimstone.

It's the sanctification part -- growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ -- that Can be problematic. How a person is living their life as a believer. Being set apart from the world in our actions / words.

That's the prevailing ideology within Christendom:

No Glory = Ichabod.
I Sam 4:21 And she named the boy Ichabod, saying, “The glory has left Israel . . "

Question is, who were you speaking of - Sue or Me?
You put up a reply that was blank....I do have a question though to this subject....Why is there so much concern about the fires of hell? Is somebody planning to go there? Shouldn't we look at more important things?

Right. Are they speaking of Gehenna - "for everyone shall be salted with Fire" - Mark 9:49.
There is not fire in Hades (Hell) - "Death and Hades shall be cast into the Lake of Fire" - Rev 20:14.
Why? So death and hell (hades) are burned up.
Silly post.
