The true mark of a Christian is Christ in him! There would be no such thing as "rotten fruits" coming through you the branch from the vine, Jesus!
Oh so you say that a born again Christian never acts out in the flesh and produces bad fruit ? Hmmm where do you live ? lol

Now c'mon, be nice, I never said that did I?

Your a Christian, right?
Can you have bad fruit coming through you from Jesus?
Bad acts from the flesh is you , not Jesus, and certainly no such thing as a fruit. You, outside of Jesus, are not capable of producing any fruit at all.
All Christians still, from time to time, act out in the flesh, it is called sin. It is proof we are not perfect and in need of Jesus in our lives!

Why do you think I was not being nice ? rofl

Yes a true mark would be Christ in Him
You said coming through you the branch from the vine, Jesus........YOU did not say fruits of jesus or God or His word. You simply sai fruits coming through you.
RJ yes a Christian can sin and that sin produces fruits. If you meant only fruits of the Godly Spirit then perhaps that should have been in there. I just replied to what you had said....
God Bless

Your kind of making the flesh out to be the christian,it is only a vessel,a tent.
I agree with RJ that the branch produces the fruit and the flesh is not the branch.
I have to settle in my heart if "I" am the flesh or the new creature created in Christ.

Actually that is not what I have said. You can produce fruits of good or bad. A Christian who gets in the flesh and they do has produced fuits which are not good. I do not care how settled you are on who is in control. If you ever yelled and wished you had not you produced fruits of anger.

Now then if RJ meant only fruits of the Holy spirit then he should have said this to me in his reply.
Blessings

You are the new crerature but this does not mean you never mess up or walk in the flesh. It does not matter if you are speaking in tongues for if you yell or get mean or simply do not forgive someone these actions also produce fruit.

Romans 7:16 But if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that the Law is good.
Romans 7:17 So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.

I can suffer the influence of a cold or flu,but I am not a cold or a flu.
I no longer say "I have a cold" because that statement implies willful possession.
I can however be attacked by a cold if my immune system is not up to par.
I can be attacked by sinful desires if my spiritual walk is not up to par.

For the time being you are both and it is perfectly natural for the flesh to struggle with the inner, new creature that Christ in you is creating. Be thankful for your struggle, it is proof you are saved.
We are not perfect yet, we still struggle ( old vs. new) just as Paul explains in Romans 7. Praise God we struggle, because were are Born Again and know what is true and righteous. The unbeliever has no struggle between righteousness and unrighteousness because they do not have Christ in them!

Isn't that what wired meant?
Am I a worm who will be a butterfly or am I a butterfly who temporarily appears to be a worm?

Truly I ask you what is your point with this ? Romans 7:17 does not even fit in this for YOU must take ownership of everything you do or say or another words yes you can be forgiven but to say it is the sin in me and me that do these things is not correct,
What exactly are you trying to say ?
All of this because I said a Christian can produce both good and bad fruit.

Actually I did not say that,I got that from the bible.
Would claiming ownership of sin be forsaking it or housing it willfully?

Genesis 4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

If we rule over him we can and should send him away.

I am afraid you have all this mixed up:
  • A Christian does not produce fruit, he bears fruit: John 15:5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
  • Only Jesus produces fruit and he can't bear bad fruit
  • There is no such thing as bad fruit from a Christian, just sin.

Blessings RJ,
Produce, bear is the same thing. Yes a Christians can bear much fruit but this only happens when a Christian is totally seeking God and walking in His ways. This is not something that just happens. You seem to be twisting what I have said and words as well. Anything you do produces some kind of fruit or results. The things sin produce is also fruit.
Things like patience-love-peace forbearence- kindness-faithfulness etc... Fruits of the spirit
Fruits from flesh.......selfishness-anger-unforgiveness-doubt-fear and so forth and both of these can be done by a Chritian and you can also call it works of the flesh which is still fruit of the flesh or results.

Produce, bear is the same thing.
You still have this Wired wrong.
Look at John 15:5 again....Jesus produces the fruit, we bear it!...big-big difference.
You can't change the written word of God to fit your narrative, that is not good!

You missed my point. You used it is not me but the sin in me that doeth these things......That had no bearing on what we were talking about. I also said we must take ownership of what we say and do- this mean if you lose your temper and blast the guy who cut you off and ran you into the curb and bent both front rims........that would be on you.......lack of self control which is the oposite of self control as in fruit of the spirit.....So then this tempor produces fruits of the flesh and YES it was you for you aloud the flesh to speak where it should have been quiet or under control of the spirit.....NOTE; YOU is used as ANY ONE in this reply....................

This has nothing to do with what Jesus can or can not do. This has to do with how much of a change one has made and how much one is actually walking in the spirit........
God Bless
