Who added the embellishment to the words?Don’t ask me, ask God. He said it, not me. I just quoted it and believe it. “Praise the Lord”!

I agree the male will be a new creature and the female will be a new creature as well, shape in the form God wants us to be, if we do what he has command us to do. There is no male of female and giving in marriage in Heaven. Like Angels. You have “Seraphim “ you have “Cherubim”, Arch-Angels, ...etc. but no male or females. But we will be humans. Like Angels are Angels.
So true. I've noticed time and time again how "Christian" women will twist scripture and not really submit to their husbands. It is selective submission at most. Few will let their husbands have the final say in all matters.To say the scriptures stated, are or could be outdated, is as good as saying scripture is outdated, even worse it is saying in effect... we know better than God!
The trouble with the world today is women do not want to accept man being head of the marriage and the family, it started with sayings like, I will not say I will obey him.
But if they understood scripture they would not say that, because the husbands loving duties are covered also.
That which I Have noticed over the years is that When a husband loves his wife that his wife will Naturally want to look to him for leadership. And When a husband loves his wife -- he will respect and honor her. And I comment about it twice because in Ephesians the husbands are Told twice to love their wives.
Hi Pastor, The Word of the Lord is unchanging. The world can change and does because Satan is busy, but the Word of the Lord never does, and woe betide anyone who alters it.Is Ephesians 5:22-33 "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord." outdated?
Is this portion of scripture irrelevant to us today? Was it simply applicable due to the culture for the time?
Ephesians 5:22-33 (KJV)
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

Could it be most husband have no idea how to "love their wives as Christ loves the Church. Have zero idea how to lead, how to be Christ like. They wimp out like Adam
this is a question; Could maybe, most wives in the institutional church are not "true christians' so they are not subject to the "Word of God" and feel no pleasure in obeying it or have the "power" to obey it, because they have not the "holy Spirit" living in them. For you cannot receive the "Joy" by dis obeying the Word of God. By disobedience to the Word of God, you grieve the "holy Spirit" of God. How can a "true Christian" live in this world with out the "Joy of The Holy Spirit" to endure? Living in disobedience in Christ = NO joy of the "holy Spirit" but that person grieves the "holy Spirit" of God! plain and simple.
I agree!!!! i did not see a "iF" clause! It is unconditional love!!! Love me baby, all the time!Probably... I think it's very likely. But again, that's another thread, another subject.
And even if the husbands are terrible husbands that don't love their wives very good, or lead the family at all...
wives are still supposed to respect and be subject to their husbands. Even if he isn't a Christian.
1Cor 7:13; And a woman who has an unbelieving husband, and he consents to live with her, she must not send her husband away.
1Cor 7:14; For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband; for otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy.
1Cor 7:15; Yet if the unbelieving one leaves, let him leave; the brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us to peace.
1Cor 7:16; For how do you know, O wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife?
1Pet 3:1; In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives,
1Pet 3:2; as they observe your chaste and respectful behavior.
1Pet 3:3; Your adornment must not be merely external—braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses;
1Pet 3:4; but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.
1Pet 3:5; For in this way in former times the holy women also, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves, being submissive to their own husbands;
1Pet 3:6; just as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, and you have become her children if you do what is right without being frightened by any fear.
Two wrongs don't make a right. Many women say "he's not doing his part, so I'm not going to do mine".
What does him "not doing his part" have to do with being obedient to Gods word?
Does having a bad husband give an excuse not to?
Could it be most husband have no idea how to "love their wives as Christ loves the Church. Have zero idea how to lead, how to be Christ like. They wimp out like Adam .
Well, 1st one most examine how does Christ love HIs church in detail. How does He love us? does he gives us what ever we want? Does he teach us how to forsakes our selves for others? Does he tells us or command us to be content for what we have, for Godliness with contentment is of great gain. Does Christ commands us to be servants {slaves} to one another instead of "Kings and Queens' on earth, for He himself is our example. although he was God but humble himself as a man endure the cross. Does He not discipline and correct the church? "For whom the Lord loves, He discipline". Is his discipline not grievous?
If your Husband is to be called 'lord' in essence, notice small lettered here. Older women are you teaching the younger wives "how to Love your husbands"?
Is not Christ loving his church. are we as men to love our wives in such matters following in his foot steps.
Alright men, I am taking one for the team!
