Sinless Perfection And The Truth That Sets You Free

How many men tell lies without knowing they are lies?
Perhaps even believing the scripture a certain way which in the eyes of God is in error would be a lie in need of correction. What would a person do to correct an error of which he is unaware?

How about going back to the very start every day with no preconceived ideas or beliefs at all? That is to say as Jesus put it "take the lowest room" :

"When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;
And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.
But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.
For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted." Luke 14:8-11

This sounds like another perspective of Heb 6:6.

I am sorry, I truly don't wish to be negative with you But, as far as I am concerned, you totally miss the point with Hebrews 6::6. I am not willing to discuss it here but will promise to start a new thread on Hebrews very soon, use KVJ and you can chime in!

All of man's past sins have been removed as far as the east is from the west.
Amen and thanks be to God.

Man still sins,
Not the men reborn of Godly seed. (1 John 3:9)

and if any man says he has no sin he is self deceived, and the truth is not in him, and has called God a liar! (1 John 1:8)
True...if that man is walking in the darkness instead of the light.

Walking in the light has to do with walking in what man knows as truth revealed by the Spirit of God. the Blood of Jesus washes away sins we do unknowingly while walking in the light.
The sins we are conscience of need to be confessed to God.
There are no unknown sins. (James 1:14-15)

Those who have humbled themselves before God will know instantly if a scripture has been twisted to accommodate the perverse.
They have the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Perhaps instead of writing "different" I should have written "wrong"?
I eagerly await your thread on Hebrews.

We all have the chance to do what is right in God's eyes.

I'd like to say "Choice" or "Opportunity" instead of "chance" brother. :-)

P.S. Sorry for still not replying back to you on the other thread. Got a little diverted doing....Moderator stuff :-)
Just might have to wait for tomorrow...maybe....dependent upon the dilating of my eyes late in the day and how I react to it. I have a tendency to react badly to it and wind up with vicious headaches! Hopefully not!!!
God Bless

Yes, if they are following the lead of the Holy Ghost, they will know, but so many people, I believe, who have received the gift of the Holy Ghost have come to the place where they regularly quench the Spirit in them. It ought not to be, but too often things that according to God's will ought not to be are because people choose their own ways instead of His Way.

The Holy Ghost won't remain in a defiled temple.

If pursuing that other thread is important to you, I'll wait.
But it isn't important to me.

The Holy Ghost won't remain in a defiled temple.

but how would one know if that was the case and is there any remedy or 'checklist' for those who may be concerned?

That is the sort of thing that needs to be shared here for all and sundry both Members and guests.
If we busy ourselves telling of faults of others, we close doors and if some are in darkness how besides our claims can they be drawn out?

God is not willing that anyone should perish. We all need to ask if we have the Father's heart about such things or, now, now that we are saved we have higher pedestals from where to look down on all in error?

A beautiful part of the body God created is it's ability to look after itself, unbeknown usually to us. The same can be and should be for the Body we say we are part of and perhaps this is at least in part why He gave gifts? Would that be edifying?

How can someone tell if the Holy Ghost is speaking truth to them or 'in' them as implied... or not?
I think many could be helped by this.

Bless you ....><>

Glad to hear it's not important to you. LOL

The Holy Ghost won't remain in a defiled temple.
We ought not to be double minded, but did not James recognize that some are and that it needed correction?

"Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be." James 3:10

Isn't that the "practicing" of sin that so many here write of?

It is written..."If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." (1 Cor 3:17)
The 'checklist' is our holiness.

That is the sort of thing that needs to be shared here for all and sundry both Members and guests.
If we busy ourselves telling of faults of others, we close doors and if some are in darkness how besides our claims can they be drawn out?
Be holy.
Those drawn to such a life will follow suit.

God is not willing that anyone should perish. We all need to ask if we have the Father's heart about such things or, now, now that we are saved we have higher pedestals from where to look down on all in error?
I think that believing we are already saved is part of the problem.
It instills a false confidence that overshadows conflicts with Godliness.
I mean, "if I'm saved already, this lie, theft, adultery won't cost me at all!".
Our salvation won't be assured till after the final judgement.

A beautiful part of the body God created is it's ability to look after itself, unbeknown usually to us. The same can be and should be for the Body we say we are part of and perhaps this is at least in part why He gave gifts? Would that be edifying?
Nice analogy!
As the body, uncommanded, filters out the grime-waste products and invasive germs, so the Body of Christ proves such a chaffing edifice to that which is unclean, that the unclean flee away from that which chafes..

How can someone tell if the Holy Ghost is speaking truth to them or 'in' them as implied... or not?
I think many could be helped by this.
As Jesus said..."Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." (Matt 7:15-20)
Now, insert the word 'deeds' for 'fruit', and read it again.
Does not the Spirit within us compel us to prophesy?
To do good or do evil?
Jesus uses 'prophets' and 'trees' where I address 'Spirit within us'.

I appreciate your having traced the problem communication back "through time".
It helped me realize where I had 'misreplied'.

"Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be." James 3:10
Yes, James is addressing a case of "too many chiefs and not enough Indians"
Conflicting direction from alleged brothers.

What will happen to those who reject the exhortation?
They will fall away.

Isn't that the "practicing" of sin that so many here write of?
A person who is double minded in his directions is committing sin. As the verse reads, it "ought not to be", but James wrote the words because it was and is occurring in people. The double mindedness means that both the old man and the new man are alive in the person. As a person grows, if he grows the old man is being put to death. That is to say he is killing those beasts of his that are still working to regain the dominion that they had before the person met the Master.

"Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish." Psalm 49:12

"Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table." Prov 9:1-2
