Sinning never ends

I think all of us who are honest with ourselves know and will admit salvation means being perfect in the sight of God, but not in reality.

Breath of fresh air, finally someone gets it.

Many Christians believe they will be demigods in heaven and many believe they will always be 100% perfect.

Can you imagine a heaven without some grumpy people. Have you ever known a person to never be a little grumpy? Heaven would be very odd if all were always 'pleasant' and 'cheerful'. Its unnatural.

It's His Grace that see's us in Christ, He see's the perfection in Christ and we are in Christ.

Agreed!!

Let's get to the bottom of this sin in heaven thing!

Paul tells us at the rapture/resurrection we become immortal, and incorruptible. 1 Cor. 15:51-58.

Incorruptible means no more sin nature, we receive a glorified body without sin, just as Jesus had at His resurrection.

All the corruption in this world has come from the sin of man, the results of that sin is pain for all of mankind.

Rev. 21:4

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

Notice John said "there will be no more pain." the only way for man to have no more pain is there to be no more sin!

"For the former things are passed away" is referring to the results of sin, there is no more of it. Sin is gone forever with God!

Agree with some, disagree with some.

1. We may receive a new body as Jesus did, but we are not Jesus. Putting on incoruptable does not eqaute to us not being able to sin. It means our body will not suffer the consequence of sin.

2. There will be no death as there will be no murderers in heaven. No murder ever! When Paul was saved he never went back to murdering Christians. The only sins that will be impossible to commit are mortal sins. Mortal sins point to a love of what is evil that is impossible for a true Christian to have in an environment like heaven.

But venial sins. Different story. Venial sins will be committed but we will be quick to repent. They will not make anyone cry, die or have sorrow. But it will make some not want to live next to others. Not all in heaven are as good as Job for example. Not all in heaven are on the same level of devotion to God. Must they all go to hell? Will God force them to be 10/10 devotion. Is 9/10 devotion not evidence of rebellion / sin? As 1 Cor 6:3 explains, we will judge angels in heaven. So it is possible to be guilty of a rebellion in heaven. Now lets not beat around the bush and just call a rebellion to God, sin. As God is perfectly good in all He says and does.

3. I find sorrow a bit interesting. See God is not one who will remove our thoughts or ability to rebel to Him. But in heaven with a 'better' renewed mind, we will better grasp the A-Z of sins and not let it affect us. Similarly, when we look at those suffering in hell, we will not weep as we will understand and agree with the punishment God is dishing out.

Man cannot blame his sin on fallen angels or even Satan. That was the second sin of Adam and Eve, blaming each other and Satan for their sins.

Regardless of Satan and his fallen angels, man made a choice to sin of his own free will.

The angels sinning had nothing to do with man choosing to sin.

Satan deceived them, yes, but they disobeyed God in spite of His previous warning.

Agreed.

No, Kingj, there will be no sin in heaven, not even in the most minute form.

Sin in any form brings corruption and pain, there will be none of that in eternity with God.

I don't know where you got this, but it's false doctrine.

If you can't see this by now then you have chosen to be blind to it.

1. What is your definition of sin?

2. Do you believe that in heaven and ''''for all eternity'''' God will control your thoughts?

3. 1 Cor 6:3 says we will judge angels in heaven. The context of 1 Cor 6:1-9 is judging transgressions / sins between Christians. What actions do you believe we will judge angels in heaven for if not their sins?

4. When Mark 10:18 says only God is good, what determines ''good''. It is not sinning. As such what determines ''bad'' if not sin? ''ONLY'' God is good.

5. When scripture says there is sin unto death, what is that sin?

Your mind is going into a frenzy trying to reason.

We lay down this body of sin at physical death.

We believers pick up this body again at the resurrection where we will be changed.

The mortal becomes immortal, corruptible becomes incorruption.

There will be no more suffering from the effects of sin because there is no more sin for us at this point.

I'm not going to argue this, Kingj. I just hope you will see it one day.

Charlie, you and Lentz are dodging the facts I am raising. Please take a stab at the questions. I have quoted 17 passages in scripture to make my case.

Charlie, the questions I raised prove my point. You, nor lentz, nor anyone else are dealing with them. You are all ignoring these facts.

Mark 10:18 alone proves my point. There is no argument to be had.

when one becomes born again we now have the power to stop spinning on earth, why would there be sin in heaven??

what would the difference between righteous and unrighteous if we continue sin?

Sin causes death, there will be no sin in heaven

Jesus said sin no more why would he say that if he thought we could not achieve it now ?? let alone in heaven

Nobody has stopped sinning. Even Paul did not stop sinning Rom 7:15

what would the difference between righteous and unrighteous if we continue sin?

Repentance.

As I state in my OP ''Humans go to heaven because they repent of their sin Psalm 51:17, get judged by God for the sincerity of their heart Jer 17:9-10 and are then given faith and a revelation of Jesus being Lord Rom 12:3, 1 Cor 12:3. We go to heaven, because we are washed clean of our sin by Jesus and are covered forever by His blood Heb 10:14.''.

Sin causes death, there will be no sin in heaven

Can you define sin for me please.

If sin is disobedience against God, then are you telling me that for all eternity we have / will be 100% obedient to God? Do you have any children?

Mortal sins got one a death penalty. Being sold out to a love what is evil got someone the death penalty from God. Think on this.

Jesus said sin no more why would he say that if he thought we could not achieve it now ?? let alone in heaven

That is because when He sees us He sees repentant sinners and we get instant forgiveness for being 'less then perfect'.

1 Cor 6:3 says we will judge angels in heaven. Judge on what if not sin?

Example. You and I are in the army. I bully you for your first two years. In the third, we go to war. The enemy shoots a bullet at you. I jump in the way and give my life for yours. In the hearafter, will I be welcome in your house? Are my sins of bullying forgiven? If I tease you in year 100, will I still be welcome in your house? Will you instantly forgive me? Of course you will, I was the guy that took a bullet for you.

The reason we will not 'leave' God is because we know He died on the cross for us. The reason God will not 'leave' us is because we truthfully accepted Jesus / are able to be martyrs for HIm. In Rev 2:10 it says those in the tribulation 'have' to be martyrs to get into heaven.

I don’t see how he thinks Mark 10:18 has anything to do with whether a person sins in heaven or not.
Weird man,weird

Good verses BAC.

Sin won't be allowed in the New Jerusalem.

(Heb 10:14) For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.

What translation was that? All translations say ''He has made perfect those who are going from glory to glory''.

Note ''Jesus makes covers us with His blood and then we are perfect to God'. IE WE are not and never will be perfect like God or perfect without the blood of Jesus. Then it says we are going from glory to glory. We will always be going from glory to glory, because we are not God.

Rev 21:7; "He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son.
Rev 21:8; "But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

Christians do not continue in sins unrepentant. There is no Christian murder ''er''. But a Christian can think of murder. A Christian will repent of the thought. IE Venial sins vs Mortal sins.

Rev 21:27; and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.

A Christian does not practice sin. But they can make mistakes of sin. We are clean, only because Jesus washes us with His blood.

Rev 22:3; There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him;

Rev 22:15; Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the immoral persons and the murderers and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying.

The unrepentant, those who continue in sin are outside.

1Cor 15:42; So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body;
1Cor 15:43; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;
1Cor 15:44; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

Scripture here is just stating we receive an eternal and body. IE When we commit a venial sin and very quickly repent (as that is in our nature), it will not result in a sickness coming upon us.

1Jn 3:2; Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.

1Jn 3:5; You know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin.

He takes away our sins. In ''Him'' there is no sin.

We will be '''like''' Him, not 'Him'.

Rom_6:7; for he who has died is freed from sin.
Rom_6:10; For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.

This is why OSAS is true. When we are washed with the blood of Jesus, we are washed with the blood of Jesus. Good find.

Weird man,weird

Wierd?

Mark 10:18 says only God is good.

According to the dictionary, only means:

only /ˈəʊnli/

adverb - and no one or nothing more besides; solely.

----------------------

Now if 'only' God is good, what are you and I?

Everyone else, literally everyone else, whether in heaven, earth or hell are ''''NOT so Good''. ;).I would think that is a real ''duh'' fact. Yet you say 'weird' with no explanation.

I can give you some examples of the meaning of 'only' in the English language, but they may appear odd. If you still don't understand what ''only'' means I may have to give them.

John 8:11
She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.”]]

you.”

Hebrews 10:26

For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

Not sure what point exactly you are trying to make. Are you suggesting that we do not sin? As humans / Christians we do not sin?

The verse you quoted says ''deliberately''. Many verses from Paul speak to those who continue in sins, example in 1 Cor 6:9-12. Then other verses like 1 Cor 5:1 and 1 Cor 5:11 speak to mortal sinners not being Christians.

IE There is a clear distinction drawn between 1. Mortal and Venial sinners. 2 .Those who continue in sin from those who repent and try stop. A Christian is always the latter. We are a new creation who hates what is evil Rom 12:9.

This does not mean we are perfect as God is perfect.

If you believe that right now you are not a person who makes 'mistakes' of sin. You are truly not applying your mind to the topic ;).

Jesus explains in Matt 5:28 that an immoral thought can be a sin.

I am not following, what is the point you are trying to make?

No one is "good" ( sinless ) yet, because no one has gone to heaven yet.
But yet, several people in the Bible ( even a few in the old testament ) were called blameless and righteous before God.

Charlie, you and Lentz are dodging the facts I am raising. Please take a stab at the questions. I have quoted 17 passages in scripture to make my case.

Kingj, I think you love our Lord, and you're saved, but I know you're wrong about sin in heaven.

If you won't be moved on that belief, some things are best kept to ones self.

No one is "good" ( sinless ) yet, because no one has gone to heaven yet.
But yet, several people in the Bible ( even a few in the old testament ) were called blameless and righteous before God.

Interesting fact. Jesus made the statement after all those that were called blameless and righteous though. In addition, there are surely angels in heaven more blameless then some He called blameless. God calls those after His heart blameless and righteous. Not because they are perfect. David committed two mortal sins.
