I don't belong to any denomination, not even non denominational. I belong to the body of Christ, he is my Church. The question was - "what has your church have to offer?"
Three hymns and a short sermon followed by tea and biscuits?
Are you speaking mysteries with your tongues? Can you interpret these mysteries and add these mysteries to the Bible? No! For anything you want to tell me and say it is from God, I will check what you say with the scriptures. No they have not.
Sorry to burst your bubble.
Jesus himself declared such:
Mark 16:15 And he said to them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
16 Who hath believed and is baptized shall be saved; but who hath disbelieved shall be condemned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that have believed: in my name shall they cast out demons, speak with tongues;
18 and in their hands they shall take up serpents, and if they drink aught deadly, it shall in now wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Rom 15:18 For I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me to bring the Gentiles to obedience - by word and deed,
19 by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God - so that from Jerusalem and all the way around to Illyricum I have fulfilled the ministry of the gospel of Christ;
Acts 28:8 It happened that the father of Publius lay sick with fever and dysentery. And Paul visited him and prayed, and putting his hands on him, healed him.
9 And when this had taken place, the rest of the people on the island who had diseases also came and were cured.
1Cor 14:18 I [Paul] thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you.
By not adding or detracting from the Bible, by not leaning to the left or to the right, by not going beyond what is written, by obeying Jesus.Jesus IS the truth. He is “the way, the TRUTH, and the life.” (John 14:6) He is the “Word made flesh,”(John 1:14). And after His flesh was crucified and was resurrected, He ascended and sent His Spirit…the Comforter…..the Spirit of Truth, to dwell in us (John 14, Acts 1:4-8)
God’sWord even goes as far as to plainly tell us that He is Spirit….and that we MUST “worship Him in Spirit AND in Truth” (John 4:24).
So how exactly do YOU worship Him in the Spirit?
So, you say you have knowledge of the Truth….that you believe….great….”even the devils believe” and know the truth of who God is. But belief, and knowledge of the truth is not enough.
The real question is: do you have the Holy Spirit? “Have you received the Holy Ghost since you first believed?” (Acts 19:2)
Sadly, based on the false doctrine you are defending here, I’d have to guess that you have not received the baptism of the Holy Spirit….otherwise your answers regarding the primary question of the OP would be quite different than what you are espousing here.
And according to Jesus in His words to Nicodemus, “…..unless a man be born of water AND of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” (John 3:5)
I will pray for you my friend; that your eyes and your heart may be opened to truth. If I knew your name, I’d lift it up before the Lord right now.
Awesome. I don’t do those things either. But that’s worshipping in TRUTH, not in SPIRIT. Those are what you DON’T do…..so what do you DO in the Spirit? Anything? Any power from on high at all?By not adding or detracting from the Bible, by not leaning to the left or to the right, by not going beyond what is written, by obeying Jesus.
No, FAITH alone is dead. You are misquoting scripture and I’m not sure if you even know that there is a pretty big difference between BELIEF and FAITH.Belief alone is dead. The people who believed and were saved believed that they had to obey.
Believe me, this is one of those occasions where I wish that I was (or hope that I am).You are wrong.
I do pray for myself. And I am glad that you have a testimony….I have one as well….we all need one. But does that mean you no longer need prayers? That is so out of bounds with what a true born-again believer would/should say. It reeks of the spirit of pride and arrogance. You should pray for yourself, because I have a powerful testimony, and I am just trying to help you have one too.

So then according to you and what you’re saying, the “Great Commission” really isn’t for us at all. We’ve actually been disobeying God by going out into the world and preaching the Gospel….because that was all only for Jesus’ Apostles? That was to Jesus' APOSTLES.
No, it is worshiping in Spirit and truth, it goes together.Awesome. I don’t do those things either. But that’s worshipping in TRUTH, not in SPIRIT.
Those are what you DON’T do…..so what do you DO in the Spirit? Anything? Any power from on high at all?
I’m sorry friend but you only seem to have half of the equation. You’re missing out on so much.
No, FAITH alone is dead. You are misquoting scripture and I’m not sure if you even know that there is a pretty big difference between BELIEF and FAITH.
“Belief” is the groundwork for “faith”. Faith is not of ourselves, it comes from God. Belief, on the other hand is solely our responsibility.
Believe me, this is one of those occasions where I wish that I was (or hope that I am).
What you said you wanted to pray for me was evil, it really was. You said I wasn't born of water and of the Spirit, and you that I haven't entered the kingdom of heaven and wasn't saved, you said my eyes and heart didn't have the truth.I do pray for myself. And I am glad that you have a testimony….I have one as well….we all need one. But does that mean you no longer need prayers? That is so out of bounds with what a true born-again believer would/should say. It reeks of the spirit of pride and arrogance.
I still humble myself before God EVERY SINGLE DAY and pray that He might open my spiritual eyes, soften my heart, and give me wisdom and deeper truth.
Apparently you don’t need that. You’ve got”truth” all figured out. Good on you! Perhaps we should all be striving to attain your level of righteousness and the kind of “spirit-filled” relationship you have with God.
I’ve contributed all that I can. I’ll leave you to it.
May God have mercy on those whose hearts remained hardened against His Holy Spirit today!
Jesus said that to his Apostles. His Apostles were sent as he was. That is not to all. His Apostles and Prophets helped lay the foundation---the foundation has been laid.then you responded
So then according to you and what you’re saying, the “Great Commission” really isn’t for us at all. We’ve actually been disobeying God by going out into the world and preaching the Gospel….because that was all only for Jesus’ Apostles?
Do you even realize how ridiculous you sound right now?

So the Great Commission is not for us today, only for the original Apostles? We’re not called to go into the world and preach the Gospel as they were because the original Apostles covered it all? Got it.Jesus said that to his Apostles. His Apostles were sent as he was. That is not to all. His Apostles and Prophets helped lay the foundation---the foundation has been laid.
Ephesians 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; So the Great Commission is not for us today, only for the original Apostles? We’re not called to go into the world and preach the Gospel as they were because the original Apostles covered it all? Got it.
Okay, this is where I finally take my leave. You lack understanding and your heart is not ready to see truth in scripture.
Good day my friend. Be blessed….sincerely.
I already explained this to you. It was during the time of the laying of the foundation. The foundation has been laid a long time ago. We have the Bible and it is finished. The Bible tells us how to make Jesus our Teacher, how to be reconciled to God, a child of His, an heir, and the church is Jesus' body.
What do you mean Barnabas and James weren't taught by Jesus, how do you know that? There are two Apostles to the Lamb named James, and, Jesus has a brother named James.
I don't agree with anything you say.
You were taught by false teacher of the denomination of your choice.
Jesus is my Teacher.
Jesus is my Teacher.
Denial is no defense for the truth.
I gave you scriptures that say what an apostle is. You are going against the scriptures.Actually, you didn't explain anything but your bias. Your bias doesn't count for anything.
We can ONLY go by what Scripture tells us. You ASSUMING that they walked with Jesus when you are NOT told that they did is pure cow patty. This is why your personal theology is so jacked up and antibibilical...because you read into the text what you want to see, not what it actually says. That is what makes you a false teacher.
..
I don't agree with you and your insults are no defense for any truth.OH...so you believe that God does contradict Himself, that is truly telling.
What you come up with is unbiblical yet you claim Jesus taught it to you, when what you believe is contradictory to Scripture it demonstrates that you don't listen to Christ, but some other spirit claiming to be Him. That is telling, also.
The fact that you don't agree with what Scripture clearly states, demonstrates that you are no more a Christian than you are a tennis shoe. Scripture says we are saved by knowing and walking in the truth, and since you reject the clear teaching of Scripture, you are not walking in nor believing the truth.
And you don't listen, either...you just want justification for your beliefs. Sorry, since they head-butt God, you will never get justification for what you hold to.
..
According to you, after Paul was saved, he kept only doing what he hated and couldn't do what he wanted to do?
The Apostle Paul only did bad?
You claim that after Paul was saved he only did sinful things with his flesh? So much for Paul making his body obedient so he doesn't lose his salvation.
1 Corinthians 9:27
But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
You say nothing good dwells in Paul after he was saved? You really want to say that?
According to you, Paul only did wicked things?
Paul is speaking of someone under the law without faith.
It is beyond ridiculous that anyone thinks Paul is speaking of himself after being saved.
Tongues were a sign to the Jews. The sign was given. It was a gift given as a testimony from God. God gave the testimony. It was during the laying the foundation. The foundation has been laid. The people who spoke in tongues spoke mysteries. All the mysteries have been given. Tongues have ceased.
