The One Event

So I'm curious as to what one event that will convince people that they have gotten past the the time of the rapture?

I'm not posting this here to prove one way or another that there's going to be a Rapture.

I'm just looking for your opinion of what significant event would take place after the Rapture for the rest of us that are sticking around?

There are the seven seals. Rev 6:1-8:5;
The seven trumpets. Rev 8:6-11:19;
The three woes are part of the seven trumpets. ( Rev 8:13; )
There are the two witnesses in Rev 11.
It seems the seventh trumpet doesn't happen until after the two witnesses. ( Rev 11:15-19; )
Then you have the seven plagues. Also called the seven bowls. ( Rev 15:1-16:21; )

Do these happen chronologically? Serially? Is there overlap in the timing? I don't think anyone can say for sure. ( well God knows ).

The millennial reign would be a big one.
All other religions done away with during this. Satan being imprisoned and unable to influence anyone during this time.

If you believe in a pre-trib rapture, that means you believe you will get raptured before any of this happens.
Before the mark, before the plagues, before a third of the earth is burned up, before the witnesses, before the millennial reign.
The before the rivers are poisoned, before the great mountain ( meteor?) falls in to the sea. Before all of this.

So if you see any of this happen at all. Even one part of it.. and you're a pre-trib rapturist. Then that means you missed it.

Thank for bringing us back on course

We should always have compassion for the lost, you never know when a word you speak, a seed you sow, will bring another thief hanging on the cross to Jesus.
I was telling my son the other day.. Son don't let this world Harden ya heart.. u stay kind n remember where ya came from...

:broken_heart:

I'm a Pre-Trib believer, but that certainly doesn't mean it will take place exactly as we believe.

I base this belief on Rev. 3:10-11,

"Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown."

If I'm not mistaken, I read that you don't believe in Dispensations, whereas I do. This places us on a different path of understanding when we study the book of Revelations.

If one believes in the Pre-Trib theory the first significant event to place after the "Rapture" is the appearing of the Anti-Christ.

There will be many, probably millions on earth at this time who believed they were saved but were not and they are not taken in the Rapture, but are left on earth and will know what has happened. This is when some will now truly accept Christ as their Saviour, which accounts for the believing on earth immediately after the Rapture.
Do you guys ever do your own homework?

To be kept from the hour of temptation has nothing to do with a removal from it - but to be guarded and protected against it.

Kept...

to attend to carefully, take care of, to guard, metaph. to keep, one in the state in which he in, to observe to reserve: to undergo something.

Pre-trib is one of the most diabolical abominations of a heresy to EVER enter this debacle of a religion. I hate it and what it has done to deceive people. The rapture is very simple to understand. Jesus clearly explained when it would occur!!

That's one side of it, here's the other.

Rev. 3:10

"Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."

Let's look at the key words "keep you from." Your definition of "keep" is correct, but you left out the Greek definition of "from."

"From" in the Greek is "ek" and means "out of/ out from within."

Now let's use your definition for "keep" and make a sentence.

I will attend to carefully, take care of, guard you "out of, out from within, the hour of temptation....

So, if the Rapture does happen, you don't believe you'll be going? :)

All I can say is that it's beyond me how anybody can pull a rapture 'out from' Revelation 3:10. Jesus said in John 17:15...

"I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil."

Strong's... ek -

to keep one at a distance from

But you guys will also pull a rapture out of that.

Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Ever consider the fact that if a pre-trib rapture were to occur - Jesus would have had no need to encourage people to 'let no man take your crown?' IOW if you're NOT here - how in the world can someone cave in and LOSE their crown during tribulation? The pre-trib answer to that - THAT VERSE PERTAINS ONLY TO 'TRIBULATION SAINTS.'

Pre-trib - devised by man - promoted by the devil's.

Like all the other pre-tribbers out there - I bet you believe that RAPTURED AND RESURRECTED BELIEVERS also return with Jesus Christ.

There are millions who would disagree with you. This debate has been going on for centuries and I'm pretty sure you and I will not end it.

1 Thes. 5:9

"For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,"

This verse comes after Paul describes the resurrection where the saints are "caught up" to meet the Lord in the air.

The resurrection and the rapture are one in the same. We just disagree on when this takes place.

Have you ever noticed that not being appointed to wrath is attributed to SALVATION NOT a rapture?

"But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,"

So, you've fallen for the fabricated nonsense that Jesus was talking about JEWS in Mathew 24 - not Christians?

I believe every word Jesus said - and he said the gathering happens at the end of tribulation. to cover up that truth, pre-tribbers have had to add another rapture and change the meaning of the Parousia and the Day of the lord.

You guys have no problem perverting the hell out of His words.

I often ask myself, "What the heck am I doing amongst these morons in this debacle of a religion?"

I hate Trinity, Pre-trib, Preterism, Calvinism, Fundamentalism and literal six-day creationism. All of it is nonsense. Prosperity preachers and senseless Christian doctrines are literally driving people OUT of Christianity. Pre-trib, Trinity, and literal six-day creationism are diabolical foolishness.

No I will not be going.

I have my task that must be finished
We all have a mission during tribulation. That's when God needs us most. A pre-trib rapture is counter-productive to God's plan of salvation.

Then you'll know for sure the time is now!
The tribulation has not come yet. But it's coming soon enough

The tribulation will start roughly 6 months after the six seal is broken. And it has not been broken yet

The pre-tribulation Rapture is the false teaching from the Devil. There are other false teachings that are around, but this one in particular is the most devastating of all of them. It is because very few people are preparing for it.

Think of all the churches out there that are teaching pre-tribulation rapture. The Great Escape.

I'm sure that when the Israelites were slaves to the Egyptians, there were many people there claiming to be profits saying that God is going to take them out and directly to heaven. Just like they are doing right now.

But the Israelites ended up going through the time of troubles in Egypt and were protected from the wrath of God. Even to the point of putting blood on their door post so that the angel of death would pass them by.

The Israelites lived through the tribulations that went on in Egypt and so will the Christians live through the tribulations in this world

Respectfully disagree as the Trinity doctrine puts you out from the understanding of the true meaning of Gods word(plan). If Jesus was just a Son that
attained to His position as a glorified life giving Spirit, i.e proclaimed to be God by the Father, then it is possible for you to come to the same place.
If however He always was God as Trinity proclaims then you have no chance of attaining to the same height because your not starting on equal ground.

Like I said respectfully disagree.

if you wouldn't mind. Please read the first chapter of the Gospel of John and explain to me what it says.

Dear Samahah,
For you to describe others as being fools and morons, who believe other than how you do...I can agree to disagree with someone, but rather than show the love of the Lord who also died for those very same ones you call such, in fact who you were also, is a shame.

If you continue in such a vein, then you are in the wrong place (Talk Jesus) to have discussions with others here and might be best for you to move on to somewhere else.

We allow for disagreements but will not accept the tags being given to them for their belief as you have done here. Some beliefs are not compatible with Talk Jesus which is a Protestant site that also believes in the Trinity, oh, and how Creation is spoken of in Genesis.

Again, if you continue to describe those in disagreement with you as you have done here, then leave and see if other sites are more accepting of how you have chosen to describe others.

If you cannot accept staying here without talking about others as you have done, then let me know and I will endeavor to have your account closed.

With the love of Christ Jesus.

Dear Bill,
Why did you start this thread?
After reading the above words of yours and comparing it to your opening post, it appears you did so under false pretenses. At the very least it is misleading to what you wrote above.

If this is how you will present topics that you do not believe in and seek to bait others into a discussion on the subject, then it might be better to leave such topics to others, or at least be clear in your intentions when creating the thread in the first place.

Being deceptive does not become you. Please do not do it again.

I'm not trying to be biased about the pre-tribulation thinkers. However I'm trying to point out by what event can they say. Absolutely say, will happen after the pre-trip Rapture takes place.

I'm trying to let them see for themselves so that when the events take place, that they will understand what is happening, or didn't happen.

I don't know if you remember back in the 60s the Jehovah Witnesses swore up and down that the end of the world would happen in 1966. And no one seemed to challenge that. Then when it took place in 1966 and nothing happened you know the whole church about fell apart.

Now I realize that Jehovah Witnesses is not a Christian Church. But what happened with them could really happen to many churches who are not prepared for the tribulation. That don't plan to prepare for the tribulation, and have no interest in planning for the tribulation because they are hell bent on the whole concept of the pre-trip rapture

Dear Brother,
Oh, the JW's were not the only ones. A Christian leader Harold Camping in I believe 2011 said the World was ending. Told everyone to sell everything they had too so it could be invested in spreading the news!!! Which sadly, many did. Needless to say, it didn't happen.

It will or it won't happen. That should not be the focus for believers. Too often that is what people focus on instead of being about the business we are told to be about!

However, that little interlude is not why I replied to your post. In creating this thread and wording the opening thread the way you did; it was made to appear that you were not biased on the Rapture. It turns out you are. How did you say it "The pre-tribulation Rapture is the false teaching from the Devil." Pretty clear positional stance if you ask me! Maybe if you had added that comment to the opening thread, I'd have no problem with it. People have many positions on this and have voiced them here as well! However, it is how somethings are done/said that can make all the difference. That is the case here.

With the Love of Christ Jesus.
