What bible exactly are you reading? God talks about Heaven many many times in the Bible. A new Heaven, a new Earth, God's throne in Heaven, our eternal destiny as believers in Heaven. Our hope is to be with Jesus in Heaven forever. What part of this do you not comprehend in the Bible?

Hi Chad. If you look for places in the bible that promise a destiny in heaven, you'll find very little.

The writers of the new testament letters always speak instead of hope in the resurrection.

Jesus will return in glory, renew creation, and the dead will rise to glorified bodies.

Not one of those talks about going to heaven. You are stupid enough to say I'm promoting a doctrine of demons without having a scrap of evidence to back it up. I'm fed up reading your arrogant bullying approach to debate. Is this the best you've got?

This insult is unacceptable and will result in your account being banned. Same applies to every member. Don’t say things online you wouldn’t say to someone’s face, especially in front of Jesus.

Wrong. The Bible talks many times about heaven and heavily so.

@Bendito and @Hekuran

Both of you are restricted from posting in this thread again. Take a break and learn from Jesus. Don't treat each other in a way you wouldn't treat each other in the presence of Christ. Simple as that. I'm not here to waste my time teaching grown adults how to behave towards each other on an online Christian forum. That's nonsense.

Sue....Tell me where a preacher is any more special than anyone else? He/she is not more special....They're there to serve, the same as elders, deacons, and the janitors.
I am not a preacher, but i have been sent. I am the favored arrow in the quiver.

The rapture will take place at Jesus return. It will happen after much tribulation including the mark of the beaat and the Two Witnesses.

You will agrue this, but it wont change.

the greatest challenge of your lives looms before you, yet you squabble over little things. Will you be able to resist the mark of the beast while your family starves. I tell you, it will be the hardest choice of your lives

Bill - just curious as to How you can 'attest' to your saying that there will be no rapture before the tribulation? Unless you feel that we are presently experiencing the 7 yrs. of tribulation.

thank you for not holding our view against us.

Because there Is Biblical basis For our view of pre-trib rapture.

Well -- it would be Better for people to be prepared Spiritually for their personal deaths and/ or the rapture - which ever comes 1st. No one except God , Himself, knows when it's time for each one of us to breathe our last breaths. My husband died suddenly from a cerebral hemmorage seven months ago. My mother died two years ago.

We are studying this in Bible study. Matthew 24 -- warnings of the rapture -- what the world will be like. Pastor was commenting that there really is nothing left To be happening before Jesus Comes to get all born-again believers up and out of here.

The antichrist will be in power whether or not anyone is prepared for him.

Apparently you believe that all of Daniel 9 has already been fulfilled. Meaning the 70 weeks of Daniel. That the last 'week' has already happened. But there are no indications of That being the case. Unless you're a mid-trib rapture person. But Who is rising to world power. There Are several Potentials -- several powers seem to be heading that way quickly.

But Why would believers need to be feeling / experiencing the wrath of God. We've already accepted Him as Lord and Savior. Everything in book of Revelation Will take place. And we Are experiencing more severe weather all over this country. But nothing like what Will Be coming.
The person who becomes the antiChrist will be almost unknown. The same as Hitler, yet in a few short years look what happened

When Hitler was there, it was the Jews. This time, it will be the Christians. And the Christians will take the blame. It will be in this whirlwind that those 144,000 will stand forth. Christians with outstanding gifts. And the Witnesses as well

Many ppl feel they understand the timeline. The problem is simple, understanding what the 1st seal really is. The 1st Seal was the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel.

Remember the line, he went out as a conqueror. It was peace, that the Conqueror was seeking

I know there are many of you here that dont agree with me. I am used to it.

I have shared much with you, challenged you.

Many answeres you have cut into stone are not correct. A short example. Who the 144,000 Jews are. They are Christians " a true Jew is one who's heart is circumcised. "

My heart has been circumcised for years. And ive known God's purpose in me since my early 20's. Im presently in my 60's.

i was never a preacher, yet God called me to preach. I was never a doctor, yet God called me to heal.B But i have always been an Apostle and a Warrior. I was sent here. To listen, to learn, and to share

Sue....Tell me where a preacher is any more special than anyone else? He/she is not more special....They're there to serve, the same as elders, deacons, and the janitors.

In the New Testament there are qualifications for elders/ bishops / deacons. One of these passages is in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and vs 8 - 13.
The other is found in Titus 1:5 - 9

Being a pastor / teacher is also one of the spiritual gifts. It's a special calling. They are to be the husband of one wife and above reproach.

@Bill -- your post #508 -- about the 1st seal. It's found in Revelation 6 -- in fact seals 1-6 are in that chapter.
chapter 6:1 "Now I watched when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say with a voice lie thunder, "Come" and I looked, and behold, a white horse ! And its' rider had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering, and to conquer.
vs 3"When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say ....... another horse, bright red."

There are a series of horses of different colors.

Where are you getting Your information. You are being very specific about nations and events when they are not in Scripture.

As for the 144,000 of the children of Israel, they are explained in chapter 7. 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel.
During the 7 years of tribulation, they are sealed for their safety as they go out to evangelize the Jews who have previously not accepted Christ as the Promised Messiah.

We are presently in the 'time of the Gentiles' -- after the believers are raptured up to Jesus Christ -- God will again deal with the Jews because they are His chosen people.

Going to vs 10 - 14 "These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation.

After That there is the 7th seal in chapter 8.

Bill -- the rapture IS Jesus Christ coming for all born-again believers in the air. He takes them up to meet Him in the air. And after 7 years, Jesus Christ Will return To this earth and stay for a thousand years.

Sue, preachers are special, dont ever let anyone say otherwise. Preachers are given a spcial grace. God's Grace is beyond understanding. I talk with both Minister's and Priest's on the topic, to always be in uniform. You never know when you will be needed.

Yes, that simple little collar. Ppl react to it, the sign of God's servant.

I've been through all that earlier in the thread.

What I'm responding to here is the claim that anyone who does not believe in the rapture is not a Christian.
I know he cant defend himself. But i have to say this. What is more important. Knowledge of the rapture, or having the fundimentals in your heart of being Christian.

i would never say, if you dont know of the rapture, you are not Christian

Being a born-again believer is Most important. God's Word Does teach that Jesus Christ Will come for the Church at some point in the future. And a person never knows when he / she will breathe their last breath. I Might be in a car wreck on the way to church and be in the presence of Jesus Christ Before any one else.

And these days -- with all the shootings all over the place. Well - a person Does need to be prepared for Eternity Now.

Sue why does everyone think only the 144 thousand are sealed, when John said plainly that after this he seen a number no man could number
This is the separation of the two covenants

@norapture -- because that's what Scripture tells us. Look at Revelation 7:4 "And I heard the number of the sealed, 144,000 , sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel. And then vs 9 says "After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all the tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.. they were clothed in white robes....vs 10 "and crying out with a loud voice, "salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.?"

vs 13 "Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, "who are these, clothed in white robes, and from where have they come?" "These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

As a result of the evangelizing of the 144,000 -- multitudes of people from all over the world come to Christ.

I don't know what you're referring to as 'the separation of the two covenants."

Simply sharing what the Revelation passage is saying.

Sue, Jesus is with us everyday.and we will meet Him in the sky at His return

Bill -- actually Jesus ascended back up to heaven in the beginning of the book of Acts. The Holy Spirit indwells each believer and in That respect a believer is never 'alone'. Which is why Jesus Christ had to go back up to the Father. Because He, as a human being, could only be one place at a time. He could Not be with each believer to teach / encourage them. But the Holy Spirit's coming Could enable the Holy Spirit part of the trinity To be with each believer all the time.

If, as you say, Jesus is with us every day, then How could we meet Him in the sky at His return.

In the Acts passage, an angel tells the disciples that He , Jesus Christ Would be returning in the future.

@norapture -- because that's what Scripture tells us. Look at Revelation 7:4 "And I heard the number of the sealed, 144,000 , sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel. Sue can you show where scripture says the 144 thousand are evangelizing,

cause I believe is something you heard or was taught, but not one scripture says they will be evangelizing
