What does it mean to be saved?

Yes all have sinned. But do you have to continue sinning after you are saved?

Heb 10:26; For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

Rom 6:16; Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness?
No, we are given a way out of giving in to temptation through the power God almighty. But, all have sinned. All means all.

But, all have sinned. All means all.

Well, maybe not all.

Heb 4:15; For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.

2Cor 5:21; He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Jesus excepted, of course.

The Son of man , Jesus was a true disciple he performed the will of the Father yet had no sin.

His sufferings made the way for other true disciples .False disciples do not have the Spirit of Christ dwelling in them .They simply do the will of the flesh and not the spirit as it is written.

Therefore, given that Yeshua/Jesus demonstrated a True Disciple to be a True Disciple we must imitate Yeshua/Jesus. Do you agree with this?

I would offer no man can keep them perfectly without failure save Jesus . If they could not keep one commandment which caused the fall .How would they keep ten or ten thousand ? Again one was to many.

Our keeping is turned into a labor of Love .

Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

We keep the law by guarding it with all of our new heart soul, mind . If we fail the law of faith or grace calls us back repenting us or comforting us . The word "keep" must be defined according to its usage.

We guard the commandment with all of our new born again heart soul and mind.

Jeremiah 52:24 And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:

Genesis 4:2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

We must be Sinless and Perfect as the Father and imitate Yeshua/Jesus.

every should strive to keep the 10 commandments as Jesus said those who love him keep his word, and as John said if we stumble we have a advocate in Jesus Christ and we need to repent

If we are not intentionally doing are best to keep the 10 commandments how can we say we know Jesus??

we should not have any strong holds of sin in our life once born again,

the real question is do we want to keep them to please our heavenly father, I do.

Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

A person that is a True Disciple of Yeshua/Jesus keeps the 10 Commandments because Yeshua/Jesus kept them being without Sin. It's not possible for the Carnal Mind to keep the Law of Elohim/God.

Rom 3:20; Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Rom 3:21; But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,

Rom 3:28; Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law.

Rom 7:6; But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.

Rom 8:2; For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

Rom 13:8; Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
Rom 13:10; Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Gal 2:16; knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

Gal 3:11; But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for "THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."

Gal 5:18; But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

Heb 7:19; for the law made nothing perfect; on the other hand, there is the bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.

And the 10, can be summed up with two.

Rom 13:8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
Rom 13:9 For the commandments, "YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY," "YOU SHALL NOT MURDER," "YOU SHALL NOT STEAL," "YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS," "YOU SHALL NOT COVET," and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF."
Rom 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Matt 22:36; "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?"
Matt 22:37; Jesus said to him, 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.'
Matt 22:38; This is the first and great commandment.
Matt 22:39; And the second is like it: 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.'
Matt 22:40; On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

The Law of Moses is established through Faith.

that will Probably be the case. But our mind-set should Not be to be keeping track Of the Ten Commandments during the day, week etc. Because at Some point during 'time frame' chances are we Will be breaking one of those 10 commandments. Now it's Also true that there are those who seem to be doing a good job of Keeping all of them. But no one knows their inner thought life. "This" week might be pretty good, but 'Next week' ?!

IF it Were possible To keep all of those commandments All of the time, there would be no need For the cross.

There's always the potential for some Pride to get in the way.

And there are those who would ask -- have you ever killed a mosquito? Of course the answer would be 'yes'. That's a natural instinct. We don't want the mosquito Bite

When you hold the teachings of Satanic Freemason/Knights Templar it's impossible to keep the 10 Commandments at any time. Do you know why Judaism, Christianity and Islam are identical?

You're asking if Jesus Christ can backslide from salvation?

He Provided our salvation -- Jesus Christ doesn't Need salvation.

So the question would be is it possible for a born again believer to backslide From salvation. Yes, it is. We all slip up once in a while -- we're human -- but Because of Jesus Christ we have forgiveness. We won't Loose our salvation, but we've gotten a bit away From and need to be closer.

Is Yeshua/Jesus a Man? If yes, does being a Man mean Salvation is needed?

@Elihoemai -- Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He came into this world as a Jewish man -- yes -- but He is the One who died on the cross , was buried and rose again bodily on the 3rd day -- proving that He was indeed the Son of God and not just another religious teacher of that day.

He was here in this world as both 100 % man and 100 % deity. That's why He Could die for our sins / provide our salvation. If he was simply another man, he would have been dying and going to Hades waiting for eternal lake of fire and brimstone. However -- Because He was God'/ man -- He alone Could died on the cross with our sins upon Him -- He died and went to hell in our place and rose back up again. And Be our Savior. The Lamb of God -- taking away the sins of the world.

Jesus Christ did not need salvation -- everyone Else Does. He was the Only Son of God. The rest of humanity are human Only.

When you hold the teachings of Satanic Freemason/Knights Templar it's impossible to keep the 10 Commandments at any time. Do you know why Judaism, Christianity and Islam are identical?

Well -- they are NOT identical. Supposedly they all three came from Abraham. However, Christianity and Islam are pretty much direct opposites. The three are distinctly different.

Islam holds to Allah / the Quran. Islam has declared to 'take over the world' -- you convert or you die -- and they don't care which.

Christianity is God's Word the Bible. That God wants relationship with everyone which is only possible through Jesus Christ.

How about holding to the Word of God. God's Word says the Ten Commandments were given to be a tutor -- to show us our need for a Savior. We can't keep all of those commandments all the time / 100 percent of the time. That would be considered 'good works' -- salvation is not works' based. It IS based on what we place our faith In. It Needs to be place on the sufficiency of the blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus did all that was needed on the cross.

Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

We must be Sinless and Perfect as the Father and imitate Yeshua/Jesus.

Yes that is our goal that Christ gave as a example of the power of of the father that works in us .Only Jesus kept them without sin

Therefore, given that Yeshua/Jesus demonstrated a True Disciple to be a True Disciple we must imitate Yeshua/Jesus. Do you agree with this?

If you meant do the will of the Father then yes . All will be taught by the Father. We imitate the father our Papa as a term of endearment.

John 6: 45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

"What does it mean to be saved?"

That is a really great question.
"Why do we need to be saved"? Is another one.

Because everyone is born a sinner and there is either heaven or hell in everyone's future.

Because Jesus Christ , the Son of God -- died on the cross - in our place and rose again the 3rd day to give all of us a chance to stay out of hell and be able To be in heaven -- for ever.

Without accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Savior -- 'we' will end up in hell For Ever.

So -- a person is being Saved From ending up in hell for ever. The book of Revelation calls it the lake of fire and brimstone. Total darkness

Luke 16 tells us about the rich man and Lazarus. vs 22 - 28 or so.

Q: What does it mean to be saved?
A: To be exempt from God's coming wrath.

Q: Why do we need to be saved?
A: To be exempt from God's coming wrath.

@JerryfromMass -- that is Also true.
It's an umbrella, to be exempt from God's coming wrath, under which salvation provides all the other benefits, as in: our sins are forgiven, we are justified righteous in God's eyes by the atonement provided by Jesus, we have eternal life because of our faith in Jesus, we are born again and have a personal relationship with the Lord, we are heirs to HIS kingdom, etc, etc, etc. All blessings, honor, glory, praise, and power to our heavenly Father and our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.
