if you are referring to Romans 7th chapter, that was Paul signifying what it was like for him under the law as a Jew in with his mind, he served the law but his flesh served sin. But Romans 8th chapter signified deliverance and a warning to believers not to sow to the works of the flesh where there is condemnation but since we have been delivered from sin's dominion, we can trust Jesus Christ to finish His work in us to His glory as we rely on im daily to help us lay aside ever weight & sin in walking in the light in fellowship with the Father & the Son.Well , yes and no.
Those who accept Jesus Christ shed blood on the cross as being sufficient to take care of all our sins -- God sees us as justified / just as if I'd never sinned.
No one is 'pure' until they are with Jesus Christ for eternity.
Even as a result of salvation, we still have the sin nature in us. That why Paul comments about the inner struggle that he experiences.
In running that race daily we can ask Jesus for forgiveness and lay aside whatever weights or provision for the flesh that had tempted us to sin and ask for His help not to do those sins again by not having any provision for it to tempt us again. The desire to do good and ending up doing otherwise. The desire to do the right thing does win a lot of the time and then we go do something we really know we shouldn't. Part of being a human being.
Who was that address to?Your last paragraph sound like a person has to be baptized over and over again in order to continue living for Christ.
@God's Truth -- this last paragraph.A person has to put their faith in the shed blood of Jesus on the cross purifying them of the sins they repent of doing.
The Jews used to do the works of the law which are the purification works, they used to have to sacrifice the blood of lambs and be circumcised in the flesh and do the other purification works.
Now we have to confess to Jesus our sins and repent of them, crucify ourselves on the cross with Christ and die to the sins of the world and raise up to please Jesus.
That is not what the Bible says.Well , yes and no.
Those who accept Jesus Christ shed blood on the cross as being sufficient to take care of all our sins -- God sees us as justified / just as if I'd never sinned.
No one is 'pure' until they are with Jesus Christ for eternity.
The saved aren't supposed to have a sin nature anymore.Even as a result of salvation, we still have the sin nature in us.
That is what false teachers teach. They say Paul was speaking of himself as still struggling with sin when he was speaking about those under the law without faith. That why Paul comments about the inner struggle that he experiences.
No way did Paul desire to do good and end up doing otherwise after being saved. The desire to do good and ending up doing otherwise.
That doesn't sound right.would The desire to do the right thing does win a lot of the time and then we go do something we really know we shouldn't. Part of being a human being.
Who are you saying that to?Your last paragraph sound like a person has to be baptized over and over again in order to continue living for Christ.
Could you elaborate?@God's Truth -- this last paragraph.
If you are justified by faith in Christ's sacrifice & not by the moral law, why do you refuse to be delivered from the moral law? (Romans7:6:"But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held").By believing in Jesus Christ & His words. God justifies me for believing in Him.
Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Salvation has come to me since I have believed in Him since a tot. However, although reconciled to God thru Jesus Christ, He had to help me be His friend by trusting Him as my Good Shepherd to follow Him & His words as His disciple in my adult years ahead and onward still, thanks to the Father in Jesus's name.
What? Humans aren't born believing in Jesus, they have to hear about him. See Romans 10:14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
Choose the forbidden moral law? What? Where do you get the law is forbidden?
We were all born needing to be taught about God, but how do you get we were born without the ability to know good and evil when God says we were?
This is post 218. The last paragraph -- now we have to confess to Jesus our sins and repent of them, crucify ourselves on the cross with Christ and die to the sins of the world and raise up to please Jesus". What do you mean by that.?A person has to put their faith in the shed blood of Jesus on the cross purifying them of the sins they repent of doing.

God gave us freewill and the plan for salvation was made before anything1) Deuteronomy 1:39: "your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil".
Humans are born without the forbidden knowledge of good and evil.
Why would God create babies with the knowledge that He forbade originally?
Didn't you say babies are born knowing about God?2)
Mathew 18:5: "And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me".
'One such little child' refers to any child & all little children. It is in this background that Jesus says 'one of these little ones which believe in me (Mathew18:6)' to refer to all little children.
This is clear proof Jesus says all little children believe in Him.
Again, created us with freewill and He knew we would sin.Genesis3:22: "And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil".
God did not create Adam and Eve with the forbidden knowledge of good and evil. They disobediently chose the knowledge of good and evil.
When a person wants to be a child of God, an heir, saved, loved by God, reconciled to Him...they have to come to the cross and crucify themselves with Jesus, which is to die to the sins of the world, and believe that Jesus' blood washes away our sins, purifies us, after we die and raise up to live our new life, we are born again, and live pleasing Jesus by obeying him. This is post 218. The last paragraph -- now we have to confess to Jesus our sins and repent of them, crucify ourselves on the cross with Christ and die to the sins of the world and raise up to please Jesus". I have a powerful testimony of when I was saved, and I believe Jesus didn't want me to place a date on it, or I might worship that date.Very good RJ. You are right, we have two birthdays. Born of a woman, and Born of the Spirit. I personally agree with you on a particular date when a person is born again. If they don't have a date, I usually press them to remember. Most of the time, the person is not saved. What you do is correct in leading them to Christ Jesus.
Paul got water baptized, and, he did baptize some people. The reason why Paul was glad he didn't water baptize more is because people were saying they were baptized unto the one doing the baptism, like Peter, or Apollos, etc.Sorry, but another caveat to such a bold statement:
Paul never made water baptism any part of his gospel presentations. In 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 Paul gives a concise summary of the gospel message he preached. There is no mention of baptism. In 1 Corinthians 1:17, Paul states that "Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel," thus clearly differentiating the gospel from baptism.
Jesus didn't baptize but his disciples did. Jesus didn't baptize because Jesus baptizes with the Holy Spirit and it was not time yet for anyone to be baptized by Jesus with the Holy Spirit.Brother Waggles, have you forgot what the gospel is? ( gal 1:6-10) The gospel is, and always will be about HIS GRACE! For can I judge a person who says he believes but has not received water baptism? And if water baptism is so important, how is it Jesus never baptized anyone???( john 4:1-2) The reason Jesus never baptized is because water cannot save, only his blood can! If water baptism could save, then it would be a work of man and not of the Lord, hence why water saves no one. Now sure,I did not waste any time following in what Jesus did! But to judge a person who has not been,is incorrect according to the Word himself!( rom 2:1-5) verse 4!!! Many look to bring guilt to others because many look to be followed themselves, not saying you are at all brother Waggles!! But you also see the great harm many believers can do by placing a work upon someone else. Blessing bro!
How is it that I am refusing to be delivered from the moral law?If you are justified by faith in Christ's sacrifice & not by the moral law, why do you refuse to be delivered from the moral law? (Romans7:6:"But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held").
How is it that I am refusing to be delivered from the moral law?

God doesn't robots.
